Every show is the same. They make a giant version of something. The host takes a bite. The hosts says "who's hungry?" They show people eating normal-sized servings cut from the big whatever.
So what? It's a big sandwich. A big pizza, A big hamburger. A big taco.
So what?
From the reaction of the patrons, none of them have ever seen the big whatever being touted. My guess is that the entire thing is a fake, just for the TV show.
Bottom line: P.U.

The host of this show is awful. He looks very uncomfortable talking to people. He is very obnoxious, and he has a very fake laugh.
This is a rip-off of Man vs. Food. Josh Denny goes to various restaurants to find "Ginormous" food. He uses the term "Ginormous" over and over again, and sounds totally fake every time.
The formula of this show is that a chef at a theme-of-the-week restaurant (Italian, subs, Mexican, burger joint, diner, pizza, etc.) shows Josh Denny how he makes a 5 pound burrito (or sub, cheeseburger, etc). Then Denny takes one bite and proclaims with fake enthusiasm that he just tasted the greatest "Ginormous" burrito ever.
Then Denny cuts up the food from his plate (GROSS), and walks around the restaurant offering to give pieces of his meal to random people. You would think that the production company could spend an extra $50, and have the chef make a sampler plate for the customers?
At that point Denny sits with the customers, and as soon as they have a mouth full of food, he starts asking them questions in his annoying voice. Nearly every time, the people almost choke on the food, trying to chew the gob of "Ginormous" food, and answer his questions at the same time.
Josh Denny looks very uncomfortable talking to everyone. His nervous cackle laughter is creepy. The people responding to Denny's questions look uncomfortable also. Denny lacks charisma.

When I watch a show about great food, I want to see someone as enthusiastic about great food as I am. Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern, Adam Richmond. Josh Denny is NOT a foodie. He has very little interest in the food placed in front of him no matter how hard he pretends. Come on, who travels to find huge amazing treats to only take one dainty bite and give it away. While doing a show with Damaris Phillips (not sure if it was his show or not), I watched him eat a piece of fried chicken in a manner that can only be described as 16 year-old girl. Peeling off one delicate piece to put in his mouth while Damaris sank her teeth into her piece with gusto.
Bottom line: I think the host of a show should be enthusiastic about what he's presenting. This man is not a foodie. He is merely a reporter, going thru the motions for a paycheck. I'd rather they gave Andrew Zimmern another show than watch this closeted anorexic force food on himself.

I have been a longtime fan of Food Network. I was absolutely delighted when they introduced the iron chef to America. Their game shows are fun and inventive. But this show I don't know how to characterize how bad it is. The Food Network has had some terrible shows, but this is the worst of the worst. The host is aggressively unfunny. His attempts at humor are crass and juvenile. I don't know how he was able to get a show in the first place. It's simply baffling. He has no idea what he's doing. He has no rapport with the people he talks to. He is stilted, boring and trite. Do yourself a favor and avoid this show like the plague.
Denny is a loser. He's not funny. The whole idea for the show is ridiculous and contrived. Massive portions of disgusting slop... real genius. I don't care that this guy got fired for being an idiot, I just think he stinks. He's one of these "i'm too edgy for mass consumption" types, not realizing that he's just not good at what he does. He isn't funny, he isn't likeable, he isn't intelligent, he doesn't have "hot takes". He's just an ordinary shlub with delusions of grandeur. No one cares Denny. Writing this review is the most I've ever thought about the man, and I'm doing it on the toilet to pass time.
