Probably the most realistic and touching first love romance, EVER.

Ok, so I just finished watching the entire series in a few hours. I have to say that I have never seen an anime or movie that has touched me in such a good way. Many aspects of the show really parallels things that happened in my life, so I was able to relate to this show. There are a lot of good life lessons this show gives us that we can take away and apply to our own lives. Love is not easy and there will always be obstacles in challenges in the way to try to "sabotage" what you have. Also, Friends are important and they show their importance in this anime, especially to, Kotaro, the main male character by being sort of like his guardian Angels...

Furthermore, this anime is very smart on how they portray things. The silence of the characters are done on purpose and the "sound effects" are used to let us know how they are feeling. The BGM and all vocal songs sang by Nao T. are also very well executed. She covered many old JPOP classics and made them her own and sang them all better then the originals. The drawings can be at times extremely simple and sometimes very scenic, both ways works. Most of the scenes they drew in the anime are in fact taken from 100% actual places in Japan that I want to visit one day.

Fortunately, or unfortunately..., this will be a tough one to top or even beat, if ever. If there was ever anime romance anime or even movie, I would probably compare them with this anime. They would either be better or not good enough compared to Tsuki ga Kirei. Definitely my top 3 favorite anime of all time and I'll be watching it over and over again because I enjoyed it that much!

    Extraordinary

The shows brings out light on a romance between two young shy people, which is never seen before and the rich story is so incredible and wonderful. It's a must see anime.

Not like your average first love anime

This anime did a very good job portraying the growth of a couple, how they met, how they got together, and how they became more familiar with each other. Although both characters are shy, they can be brave facing obstacles in front of their path, which is admirable. It's also not like your average first love anime where the two protagonists just keep hinting at each other and NEVER make a move. It's less idealized, more realistic, and more enjoyable to watch.

Never seen a more realistic and simplistic romance ever

Let's get one thing clear, this series is blasphemously underrated and under-watched. It is one of the hidden gems that came out this year. It's heartwarming, soothing, and relatable. The reason behind it is because of its aesthetic simplicity and its mesmerizing realism, it feels relatable and close to heart due to the shyness and awkwardness. These things which are rarely seen in romance series across any medium. The character designs are simple yet interesting, plot is simple yet captivating, story is simple yet heartwarming, animation is simple yet eye-catching, and the soundtrack compliments the emotional and romantic feel of the anime. I have no real criticism for this series as it lays out everything perfectly. There is no extravagant scenery or any breathtaking visuals, but the thing that makes this anime special is faithfulness to real life. I don't think I've been this satisfied from a 12 episode anime ever.

A cute, adorable romance about middle school love

A very cute, sweet, and innocent romance anime about two middle school students who fall in love and develop their character along the way. The show is overall very enjoyable to watch and has many heartwarming and adorable scenes throughout. It's interesting to see the two main characters discovering romance for the first time, and eventually maturing and learning from their experiences at middle school. That being said, there are only some very minor issues setting the anime back, such as some cringey and awkward moments, but overall the positives far outweigh the negatives. If you're a fan of romance, go watch this right now, you won't be disappointed.

PROS: + Outrageously adorable and cute romance + Viewers can relate to the realism of the characters and situations + Great musical score + Satisfying ending with proper closure

CONS: - Some bad CGI animations - Some cringey and awkward scenes between the two MCs, but this eventually goes away halfway through the show - The anime is a bit too serious in my opinion and could use more humor/comic relief
