Curtis Holt • Mr. Terrific
- John Diggle: What you got?
- Curtis Holt: There was a break-in last night at Sunderland Corp.
- John Diggle: Why didn't we get an alert? Felicity has us wired...
- Curtis Holt: Up the wazoo. I know. I'm trying to figure it out. I mean, we're basically the Big Brother of Star City. Not in a creepy way.
- [switching computers]
- Curtis Holt: Oh, okay, this makes more sense now.
- John Diggle: Laurel.
- Curtis Holt: Yeah, who works with Cayden James, who can hack any security system to bypass any alerts, such as ours.
- John Diggle: What did they steal?
- Curtis Holt: Nano-thermite. It's a metastable, intermolecular composite.
- [seeing John doesn't understand]
- Curtis Holt: A reactive particle. You know, like a mint inside of a soda. Alone, harmless, but together, kaboom, as in "kill lots of people", not "spill grape juice all over your Cub Scout"...
- John Diggle: What are they targeting, Curtis?
- Curtis Holt: I don't know. Nano-thermite needs to be combined in order to be combustible, but once it is, there are many, many, many possibilities.
- John Diggle: Can you narrow it down?
- Curtis Holt: No, but Felicity might be able to.
- Felicity Smoak: Hey. Talk fast. Oliver's arraignment is in two minutes.
- Curtis Holt: Laurel and Cayden James got their hands on a mess of nano-thermite last night.
- Felicity Smoak: That means they'll be in the market for an accelerant.
- Curtis Holt: Yeah. What kind of accelerant? That's a really long list.
- Felicity Smoak: The nano-thermite heist, did it involve a computer hack?
- Curtis Holt: It involved Cayden James, so what do you think?
- Felicity Smoak: I think that you can backtrace his hack, maybe you can get into his system.
- Curtis Holt: Can you come back and do this? Because you're, like, way better at this than I am.
- Felicity Smoak: We have a problem. We have a massively huge problem. And considering it's in the same week Oliver has been arrested.
- John Diggle: What is it?
- Felicity Smoak: The nano-thermite, when combined with the explosive, creates a thermobaric weapon.
- John Diggle: What's a thermobaric weapon?
- Felicity Smoak: It disperses what is essentially a cloud of fire and then pressure-cooks everything within 200 yards.
- Curtis Holt: I'm guessing we're giving up hope that Cayden James has to cook a lot of turkeys for Thanksgiving.
- Felicity Smoak: Should we order our traditional Thanksgiving meal?
- Curtis Holt: I can call Big Belly Burger.
- Rene Ramirez: I'm gonna crush my French fries and pretend they're mashed potatoes.
- Felicity Smoak: Maximum damage for a thermobaric bomb is Starling Stadium.
- Rene Ramirez: [realizing something] Today's Thanksgiving.
- Curtis Holt: Yeah, we just covered that when we talked about ordering turkey burgers.
- Rene Ramirez: Wow. I'm saying, Billy Joel's playing there tonight. Sold-out crowd.
- [seeing their looks of surprise]
- Rene Ramirez: I happen to like a wide variety of music, and "The Stranger" is a treasured piece of rock and roll history.
