Is this going to end ?

I've been a fan of league of assassins which is no doubt but I feel sincerely , inching towards the finale, the focus has to be on the villain and what his plans are, whether or if he is a match for Oliver and his team and how will he be able to outplay them. But instead the focus was on Thea and Harper though the episode was not boring.

I personally feel this episode is a filler just to bid permanent goodbyes to Roy and Thea. First it was Slade, now its them. Slowly they're removing characters from the show and it only makes sense to think that there's a chance this bringing this show to a close. May be its the end of Arrow on TV by this year ...

what a mess the writers have made

I didn't think any city could be more corrupt than Chicago, guess I was wrong. The writers have made Star City even more corrupt than anyone could imagine. The only mystery left to solve is how the writers are going to get out of this huge hole they have been digging with all of this corruption and desertion in the ranks.

    Assassin's Guild

After Arrow's excellent last episode two weeks ago, I must say, "The Thanatos Guild" should have been a solid home run. While for the most part, this episode managed to tie up some loose ends, it left too many open. First off, seeing Roy (Colton Haynes), Thea (Willa Holland) and Nyssa (Katrina Law) back together was a treat, as the three of them were without a doubt the best parts of the first four seasons of the show. The dynamic between every character, even Curtis's (Echo Kellum) blossoming romance and Dinah's (Juliana Harkavy) nuanced investigation into a city-wide corruption was fun. Though the show, yet again managed to deliver stellar fight scenes (some even brutal), I could not shake the feeling of Kirk Acevedo's Ricardo Diaz. The reason why the show could work right now is because of his criminal undertakings, and we got none of that this time around. Katie Cassidy's Earth 2 Laurel got no forward momentum either in her "redemption arc", which has anchored several plot points this season. The assassin guild led by Athena (Kyra Zagorsky) was okay, but never had a clear motive and felt a little forced in. Whether she will be a recurring villain or if the League will be brought back fully is really not my interest and as cool as Athena's character is, her presence is meh at best. The saving grace of this episode was really Thea's fitting end. While predictable and less spectacular, it really showcased how she matured over the past six years and how her father's doings effects her future. Overall, "Thanatos Guild" was a good episode, never living up to the hype in any way or advancing the plot, but managed to distract and please with new and old faces, impressive action and a heartfelt farewell.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

After last week's Roy & Thea focused episode, you had to figure that they were going to continue that arc and pay off the fact that these two lovers may finally run off together. Well, that's exactly what they did, and it looks like it's forever this time.

Besides the fact that Curtis gained a new love interest and Dinah crept closer into the corruption of the police force, this was a throwback episode into the great season 2 & 3 episodes with the League of Assassins at the forefront. Katrina Law as Nyssa Al Ghul returned as she brought some difficult news for Thea, with her once again being thrust into an unnecessary conflict started by Malcom Merlyn. It's far from an original arc, but perhaps a nice one to end on as it looks like she will correct her father's sins, just as Oliver and Nyssa are both trying to do as well.

It comes as no surprise that Malcom found 3 other lazarus pits, something he almost certainly used in some way shape or form to stay alive (I have no doubt he's out there somewhere). But that's what Nyssa, Roy, and Thea will set out to solve, and ultimately destroy. Whether or not you think this was a good way to send Thea off of the show, it was probably the best way showrunners could have gone without deviating from the season 6 arc too much. Although, there really hasn't been much of an arc at all anyway.

That arc, is going to take an unsurprisingly stupid turn next week, as Diggle and Oliver will butt heads over who deserves to wear the hood. Are you serious? Is this honestly the route you're taking showrunners? This is never something we would see out of Dig in the early days of this show.

Thea's Departure - This is Willa Holland's final episode as a series regular. Thea Queen leaves Star City to destroy the remaining Lazarus Pits with Nyssa and Roy.
    • Goofs
When figuring out the first two numbers of the Fibonnacci sequence to unlock the safe, Nyssa says 10 and 13, as 1013 was the year the Guild of Assassins was founded. However, 10 is not in the sequence; 8 is the number before 13.

Thea Queen: Oh, my gosh, you'd be in so much trouble if your Dad saw you doing that. You're lucky you have a cool aunt, you know, who approves of bad behavior.

William Clayton: I'm gonna miss you.

Thea Queen: And I'm gonna miss you, too. Just promise me you're gonna watch over your Dad, ok?

William Clayton: But he's the Green Arrow.

Thea Queen: You know, before he was the Green Arrow, he actually used to be really scared of the dark, and he needed a nightlight in his bedroom till he was, like, what, six - 16?

Oliver Queen: It was not a nightli - I was... It was not a nightlight. I couldn't sleep with it being pitch black.
