Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, and Jack Haven in Action Point (2018)

Goofs

Action Point

Edit

Continuity

The movie is set around the 70's or the 80's. But when the group visits 7parks, you can see a Vekoma SLC (Suspended Looping Coaster). The first one was built in 1994 in Walibi Flevo in The Netherlands.
When Margie and Lyle are having sex at the news station, Margies shoes are on and off in different scenes.

Factual errors

During the chase, the long distance bus is driving on the left hand rule of road rather than on the right hand rule of road as in California. No visual indication that the road is part of dual carriageway.

One estate in the car park is right-hand-drive.
The handbill Boogie shows D.C. shows The Clash playing Thursday 23 August, but they never played a concert on a 23rd August that fell on a Thursday (1979, the year of their first US tour, and 1984). They were supposed to play in Ohio at the Heatwave festival in 1980 on Saturday 23 August, but their appearance was cancelled. They played in Massachusetts from 20-24 August 1982. Their last US performance was in Seattle on 30 May 1984. The band parted ways in 1986.

Anachronisms

The story takes place in California.

A couple of Mercedes-Benz cars as well as Toyota Corolla used for teenager booze run are seen without mandatory side running lamps, beefier bumpers, and sealed beam round or rectangle headlamp capsules.

Opel Kadett is never sold in the United States. Same for Audi 100 Coupé S.

Character error

Chris Pontius and Johnny Knoxville are supposed to be brothers and in the scene to drive after Boogie, Pontius says something about his grandfather referring to him as "my grandfather" when it would have been "our grandfather."
