After my needle-in-a-haystack hunt over the past 3 months or so, I finally got hold of Humble Politician Nograj (Kannada), even lost some sleep over finding subtitles that matched the runtime.
I really liked the trailer and went into the movie expecting a ton of humor, and there was a lot of humor, just not a ton of it...I guess? Or maybe there was, but it was very repetitive...?...dunno. It appears that several Kannada folks thought that it wasn't worth the hype. I don't know how hyped this movie was, so I guess it wasn't a let down for me. But not sure if it was worth losing some sleep over.
This film totally reminded me of Borat in some ways. This guy, Danish Sait, and the folks who played Monjunath and Lavanya did a really good job. One could argue that you can watch the movie just for this trio, plus there's humor in it, never mind the story. I read some reviews, looks like some people didn't like how the movie ended, and I am not sure if i'd agree with that. Throughout the movie, you can tell that it shows how dirty politics is/can be, just that it does so with humor instead of intense music, action, backstabbing, etc. Lets say that this movie kinda sorta is trying to say what Pudhupettai said, but in a TOTALLY different way?
If they were to make a sequel of this movie, I'd watch it. If you're looking for a fun (repetitive or not) time-pass movie, check it out.

Humble Politician Nograj is going to make you laugh. The movie is more hilarious than you would think. You will be surprised to see how creative some of those "stupid", funny and ridiculous scenes are. They picked just the right people for this comedy. You can expect dirty, funny, sexy, ridiculous! Not over the top , just laughs and a somewhat sentimental story. Director has clearly tried to send the people a message in between those laughs.
Danish Sait : what a performer , since he started his career in 2009 , his prime motive was to make people laugh and he doesn't let you down this time too. His flawless execution of the character Nograj deserves an applaud. His voice modulation for the role is too good and he always has been a champion in this department. I felt the run time for the movie could have been 30 minutes shorter but nonetheless it is a great movies. Saad Khan and Danish Sait : make us laugh again with your future projects.

The movie isn't a great debut for Danish Sait. Though his acting has been (marginally) good, the film fails to capitalize on the hype it created. To be frank, you can hardly find scenes make you laugh. Just a couple of scenes are fine for a laugh. The videos uploaded on the internet by Danish Sait were much more laughable than the ones in the movie. The gay characters in the movie have no groove in the movie, but shows the mediocrity of the characters in the movie.
The character Monjunath and Lavanya have been potrayed well. Some scenes in the movie which Danish potrays have no realism, like that which he does in the powering the D.S Nagar area, where he enters a random family. Puneeth Rajkumar enters the movie in a college function, which was perhaps only added when the producers realized that movie wouldn't do much in the Box Office.
Saad Khan could had done much better, but thanks to other co-directors who have made it enough bearable to watch once. There is one scene in which Danish Sait couldn't speak Urdu properly, which is actually his mother tongue. If you are a Danish Sait fan, you may only like to forget the movie after you watch for once.

A character/voice that was born by the sheer talent of the amazing Danish Sait. Nograj had been receiving a lot of love and support from everyone and to see him come on the big screen was a big treat.
Coming to the movie, it's a politicial satire done well. A wannabe politician who jumps into the limelight just to get some recognition and fame. Brilliant work by the co-star Sumukhi Suresh. Well directed by Saad Khan.
It does tickle the funny bone and it's an added advantage if you follow Kannada or have been familiar with the language (as some jokes are better in the local language).
Overall, great effort by Danish, Saad, Maaz and the whole team of HPN. I've seen the amount of hard work that's gone into making this as well as the movie promotions that were done across Karnataka.
Gaargeous yeffort guys! 🤗🙏
Great movie.. Well portrayed characters! Loved Danish and Sumukhi in the movie.. Overall a fun watch.. Do watch it if you haven't watched it yet! 😃
