After the Rain

This series does not just show how a impossible love may be, it shows how two different people can reach their abandoned dreams. The characters development is totally amazing and they are deeper than you can believe in the first or two episodes.

I highly recommend this anime, because it's not just a love story, is so much bigger than that.

Okay, 4th review so far. This anime starts off with a 17 year old girl who falls in love with her 45 year old boss. There´s no point on giving out more information and, as you will find out if you keep reading, this didn´t seem to be the main argument of this story.

My philosophy: you can always find something in an anime that you´ve never seen before, and for me that´s enough to make it a worthy watch (which is why i´d never tell anyone not to watch an anime). However, there are some things you need to know before you watch. This anime caught me off guard, it´s not finished yet (only 10 episodes so far), but i think i´ve seen enough to make a helpfull review.

I´m new to this genre, but i decided to give this anime one shot mainly because i wanted to see the outcome of the strange situation that it presents. I must say during first episodes i felt the temptation of leaving it. The opening is awfull, it´s childish and stupid, and doesn´t fit for this anime at all. For the first few episodes i felt disappointed because i guessed there had to be a strong reason for this girl being in love with their boss, and i didn´t like the characters nor the way they were introduced.

Having said that, i´m glad i continued watching. This anime is not only about a young girl loving an old man. It´s about an interesting conception of youth and oldness beyond age itself. It´s about dreams and hopes for the future and the way they can affect us. It´s about friendship and trying to move on when we are in a tough spot. I havent finished this series yet, but i will as soon as the new episodes comes out. The last episodes were amazing, showing extremelly mature reasonings from several characters and a way to percieve the world that stunished me.

The more i watched, the more i liked the characters and it´s development. The sountrack is excelent (the opening doesnt count) and the animation is full of detail aswell. I don´t know how this is going to end, but i must say so far i´m pleased. It´s a 9/10 for me, and if you are into this kind of romance genre, i´m sure you will like it. Specially recomended if you have seen and liked the movie "Garden of Words" (and if you saw this anime but you didn´t see garden of words, waiste no more time and watch it, i consider it to be one of the best romance masterpieces ever crafted). Always had interest of the taboo of high schoolers dating older man, knowing that most of the focus goes to the scandal that re published in tabloid, there's hasn't been good story about it except Lolita(the book not movie).

But here's anime caught my interest in very good way with ending that I can enjoy, let's not waste words read the review: Love the simple setting that it sets in family restaurant where former tracker runner working as waitresses Akira spends her time the things change when she falls over hills to Mr. Kondo he's boss.

Enjoying there dynamic of this relationship turning into something else of love into what we left behind as passion. That's where sold me, Akira struggle of leaving her all tracking field team focusing on falling to Mr. Kondo But how her best friend Kya don't wanna separate just for that's, like the discussion she has in the festival, n how make her remember.

N Kondo struggles to not fall in love with minor but remembering about he's youth n what he left behind n what price he paid for following.

Meaning both this characters had their own challenges when they declared just been friends.

The ending was awesome Alonso finishing he's first draft with same title.

The characters styles re 60's anime looks ala Lupin 3rd very stretchy but goes along well.

The rain plays huge part of the anime specially when Akira goes to see sick, high feverish Mr. Kondo the first affection they share.

So conclude awesome shojo different plot cause said at beginning was interesting on this taboo topics, is nice didn't went Lolita but instead where passion re left.

This anime is about unusual relation between 18 years old girl with 42 years old man maybe at first you think its foolish but after you watch this anime you will change your mind beautiful storyline with 2 stranger character but as long as story go ahead you will know this characters and you will love them

When the viewer is immersed in the this world of a melancholy 17 year old former track star the first thing that strikes you is the beauty of its story vision rendered in some of the best animation I have ever seen! It sweeps you in and tells the impossible love at the core of the story in a amazingly choreographed - dance of nuanced life as art - in everyday settings.

Its splendor never lets you go and its detail and emotion never seem anything other than perfectly natural and sincere. The angst and the outburst and subdued emotion and awkward reactions all ring so genuine that you never question them. Even the injury and its psychological impact (an injury I have unfortunately endured.) is perfect in its current beneath the surface that not for a second do you doubt its authenticity.

Some have faulted the portrayal of the man but unless you have walked a mile in his shoes to understand his impossible angst and certain doom living within his failure or find that you at least empathize with it, than you you should move along and not waste your time with this series.

If you get him then you heart leans on his for the hard choices to come and this too is true to the situation in a very simple and profound way.

What it leads to, is a rarified human relationship that will uplift all the characters and the viewers too, in an indelible and unforgettable way to be at a very minimum a treasured memory of something truly special.
