    about to start this series

    I've read The sultan's diaries recently, this period of history got me interested especially the huge efforts that had been done by the Sultan in order to maintain the empire and the traitors who spread like cancer. I hope that the scenes have been nicely done

    very interesting how everyone gave it 10 or 9 still IMDb gave it less than 5

    it's a big shame that IMDb giving it less than 5 stars most probably by voters who didn't even watch it!

    anyway this TV series is one of the best TV series i ever seen, and i have seen most famous big American ones and the silly ones too, PB, Lost, Friends, BB, Grey's anatomy, GOT, penny dreadful and many others!

    and this is as strong as the strongest, very interesting full of Drama and history and some action, you finish one episode and you really want to watch the next one badly

    Very Exciting...its worth to see it!!!

    Never seen so good historical tv series about ottoman (Abdulhamid II.) imperium like this. They show how the west and the zionists try to destroy the ottoman imperium and the harmony way of living from inside. The rating from 4,8 i cant understand it at all. I think they did it on purpose to make the people dont watch it.

    This is an excellent historical TV series with AAA quality and precision of events

    I suggest everyone to watch this TV series to have deeper knowledge about recent history of the world

    Ottoman was the biggest empire for a long time, thus, it has shaped how the history written

    However, since Ottoman lost the war, history is written extremely misleadingly.

    This TV series definitely shows how the true history was.

    As a good idiom there is, history is written by the winners. Because of this fact, i extremely suggest you to watch this TV series.

      The series is based on real stories and shows Sultan Abdulhamid as "Great Khan", instead of "Red Sultan".

      The shootings of "Payitaht-Abdulhamid" began in sets that were completely revamped in the Seka Film Plateau in Izmit. Yildiz Palace. In the plateau some premises of the Yildiz Palace built one-to-one fort he parts which took place in the palace.

      After the TRT 1's popular series "Filinta" and "Zeyrek ile Çeyrek", "Payitaht-Abdulhamid" is the new project of Yusuf Esenkal and Serdar Ögretici, who made the film "The Ottoman Lieutenant - Ottoman Officer", Turkey's first Hollywood project - co-produced with Y Production.
