There was a time when South Park was synonymous with wild fun and sharp satire, but that hasn't been the case for a while now. "Splatty Tomato," the episode that closed out Season 21, was a disappointment from start to finish.
The conclusion of the relationship between Cartman and Heidi was so abrupt and poorly handled that it left more questions than answers. After all the built-up drama, one expected something more substantial, but instead, everything was wrapped up with a couple of scenes that failed to either move or amuse.
In summary, "Splatty Tomato" turned out to be a season finale that left much to be desired. It lacked the spark and depth that characterize South Park at its best. It felt like an episode rushed through, with too many ideas and none executed with the precision and wit we've come to expect from Trey Parker and Matt Stone. South Park hasn't been the laugh fest it once was for quite some time now.

This episode is best in this season, i can't wait for new season. Really great way too finish season
Loved this episode, and I'm not a "Trump-hater". Finally got some laughs from South Park.
I'm really surprised to find so many negative opinions around here. People really missed the point with the Trump story arc. I mean, during the whole episode SP-Trump doesn't do anything remotely negative. People from South Park ASSUME that all their problems are because of SP-Trump. Isn't that a nice commentary in itself?
And the way dramatic music is used each time SP-Trump is on-screen? The irony of it all... Calling it "Trump-bashing" is really crazy. People who watch South Park really have to be more thick-skinned.
I really enjoyed how they used music in the episode, poking some fun at cliffhanger endings, nostalgia and cheap drama/thrills. (But i do hope that this "using bottom of the barrel pop-culture stuff ironically" theme will end with with this season - it's only funny in low dosage. I don't believe that it will change, but i do hope so...)
Conclusion for Cartman romantic story is also natural and funny as hell, I've enjoyed it immensely.
I hope that they will retain this level of quality next season, cause I was really bored with SP this year - really low ratio of cool ideas to filler content. Weak sauce.

Watching the whole season was a pain in the ass. Not a single good episode. Not a single one while on season 20 there were two good episodes. People don't even care anymore about South Park. Why? Because it sucks.
And this episode sucks, maybe even more than the others. Bye South Park, I'll never see you again.

Canada, The President, Ike the Mountie and The Groper. How can this not be a great episode? Love it.
