    I Love the Complexity

I won't say anything about ridiculously short attention spans. Oh, I just did. If one is familiar with the multitude of science fiction series and movies, take this one to the bank. I have never seen a series that takes into account time after time the realities of being in space. The trials of the crew members on these ships are horrible to see, and yet there isn't an easy, safe way to counteract what has happened to them. Of course, Holden is a pawn in the game and has been traumatized to the nth degree. Meanwhile, people are doing what they can to survive and return to some sense of order while a sentient entity seems to be moving beyond them. I have to say I haven't been a big fan of Anna's but saw her rising above a banal view of the world. Like all of us at this point, we haven't figured out the force that has been launched.

    Drummer and Ashford converse

Fallen World is a much quieter episode than some. No big battles, no crazy effects, very little shouting. The Drummer and Ashford conversations throughout the episode are absolutely stellar. Dealing with the ramifications of the rules change leaves the characters with critical decisions to make, leading to unexpected pairings. This episode is a game-changer in all the best and simplest ways.

    Another VERY boring episode

I can see why syfy cancelled this. It is very hit or miss. This episode was very difficult to sit through. To slow, and lots of nonsensical plot lines.

    Edit
    • Trivia
Ashford and Drummer are trapped and sing a song, a heavily modified version of " The Ballad of Captain Kidd". Kidd was tried and executed for piracy in 1701, and the ballad showed up in less than ten years.
    • Goofs
When Clarissa Mao exits the airlock, we see two suit thrusters firing 'up', and two firing 'down'. Thrusters fired in opposite directions would cancel each other out, so she would just be burning fuel.

Correction: The thrusters could never be perfectly placed in line with the centre of mass of the person in the suit, as with real world spacecraft, and so opposing thrusters are often fired to cancel out unwanted rotation.

Camina Drummer: If this is another of your teaching moment, I prefer to bleed out in silence.
