    Boring

    Good thing about this show was that is was realistic and showed the actual customs and traditions of Indian Marriages. It also showed what a girl and her family has to go through during and after the process of marriage. But it missed a lot of important aspects of the marraige and I feel there was a lot of scope for making this show in a better way.

    Very real and narrative of the great Indian marriage

    This documentory is very realistic and evident of indian marriage tradition, it depicts how suitable brides are searched in indian traditions. The documentory is based on 3 different girls from different n parts of the country each with their own narrative on pre and post marriage lives!

    Real Indian Middle Class Matchmaking

    The objectification and materialism is there but this is way more realistic than Indian matchmaking anyday. Shows how Seema aunty has evolved from this stage to what we see her today.

    Male Dominance

    Great story showing how families go about arranging marriages (finding a suitable male) for their daughters. Would have liked to have seen commentary on the ridiculously high costs to procure a husband and stage a marriage which as a percentage of income is much higher than in the Western world. Also would have liked to have seen what happens to the girls/women and their families when they don't get married. Would have liked to have been given some information on the high levels of abuse, divorce and subsequently being cast out with shame and no education into society. And, commentary on young girl arranged marriages.

    Documentary about regressive mindset and people..who choose to remain so in the name of tradition...whre as histoy of india is so modern ...these peopl should not make india more regressive and say like balaji telefilm mentality...seema taparia thoughts too repulsive regressive judgemental again
