"The Killers" is the last episode of "Altered Carbon" where open questions are closed. The conclusion is not bad but the confrontation of Kovacs and Reileen is too long. After the initial moment, when Ortega was concerned with the Ryker´s body, she had feelings for Kovacs. Therefore the romance is flawed in the conclusion. There are also too much information along ten episodes of the series. However the twist with the revelation of the truth about Lauren and Miriam Bancroft is great. My vote is eight.
Title (Brazil): "The Killers"
The series has an original plot,, a genuine story in the future not like any other Sci-Fi ,, Here humans can live forever , clone themselves and "jump" between bodies ,, but unlike any other sci-fi, here the drama was so heightened , the action and the fight scene were so fast and futuristic , the scientific correctness was on point and as close as possible to the far future but also as close as possible to being believable and scientifically "probable".
Al the 6 writers of the show were amazing , and well known to be involved in other "fantasies" or "sci-fi" like from "True blood" to "Daredevil" and "Da Vinci's Demons" and Netflix "The Punisher" so they're all familiar with what Netflix usually offers to the viewers and they are familiar with what sci-fi and action/drama would look like of the small screen.. and they indeed did an amazing job in here, making the show as usual fast, well connected and easily understandable which makes you dragged and wanting to finish the whole series in on day.
The cast was really good,, maybe in the first episodes they all looked weird with their new fresh faces but then you start recognize them, oh it's that guy from Suicide Squad "Joel Kinnaman" and look it's "Hiro Kanagawa" :D and that's "James Purefoy" from "The Following" but even the new faces like that hot Mexican "Martha Higareda", she was really good.
Finally, i haven't yet heard any news of renewal, but well i think it's obvious since they left the door wide open in the final scene for a new big plot enough for another 10 episodes , but who knows ;)
Loved the long hours and dedication that the VFX team put into 'Altered Carbon' season 1. Finished on a high good bye one-season note.

- TriviaWhen Lizzie enters the room in Head in the Clouds where a man has killed two prostitutes, on the wall is Peter Paul Ruben's painting "Saturn", or "Saturn Devouring his Son." This painting inspired Spanish artist Francisco Goya's famous painting "Saturn Devouring His Son," which itself hangs in Reileen's room.

Quellcrist Falconer: [narrating as their ship falls] Long ago, and worlds away, there was a young princess, orphaned in a time of war. She was called upon to lead the armies of her kingdom, for there was no other. She was the fiercest of warriors, beloved of her people, unstoppable on the field. She rode out every day and saved her subjects in battle after battle.
Quellcrist Falconer: But every night, when the fighting was done, she was alone. Until one day, a peasant boy came looking to join her army. Lonely and angry and fierce as she. For the first time, she found that when she strode out onto the field to save others, there was someone at her side who had come to save her. Then there came the darkest battle of the war. The princess and her peasant boy stood, side by side, and vowed that they would be separated by nothing less than death itself. She fell to an enemy sword and died before his eyes.
Quellcrist Falconer: And those who heard the story cried for the death of love.
