the use of violin is very interesting

One of those films where you wish you were a fly on the wall in the restaurant when the project was still in the "napkin" stage. Did the creator pitch the finance guys with "Hey, I know this is a low-budget indie, but I have a great gimmick. With clever editing, I will make the plot a mystery even to the audience. Even to the actors. No one will ever figure out what they are seeing, even if they see the film more than once. Guaranteed. " And somehow that pitch got a greenlight. The movie itself is entirely forgettable. The use of violin to punch up key scenes, however, is rare and and quite interesting all by itself. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer." I love a good revenge drama

This is one helluva edgy revenge crime drama that also holds its mystery right until the very end. It's an Australian film from what I can tell. The plot is simple to begin with about the son of a criminal who just turns up one day and takes on the mob. But the story gets real complex as it goes on. There's a mysterious dead body the police want to make disappear. There's a woman who seems to be running away from something.

There's even a hilarious underdog type character who just likes giving people his business card. What really holds it all together is some of the most believable acting i've seen in a long time. Bramwell Noah is absolutely commanding as the criminal picking on bad guys bigger than he is.

Lu Yiy is an emotional powerhouse who I couldn't take my eyes off. Their chemistry and the chemistry of the whole cast is what will keep you watching. So many little mysteries and twists and turns in the story really set it apart, but it's the acting that keeps bringing it back to earth and what will have you caring about the characters and what happens next.

    A must watch

Directed by Bramwell Noah and Dan Noah, Something to Do with Death is a gripping drama that explores the ripple effects of a single, life-altering moment. The film masterfully intertwines multiple perspectives, unraveling the devastating impact of one bullet on the lives of its characters.

The Noah brothers create a tense, emotionally charged atmosphere, blending raw performances with striking cinematography. The pacing is deliberate, building to a crescendo that leaves you breathless. Themes of guilt, revenge, and redemption are explored with nuance, making this film as thought-provoking as it is heart-wrenching.

Something to Do with Death is a powerful meditation on the fragility of life and the choices that define us. A haunting, unforgettable experience.
