The Plan

Not only is the movie poorly written, plagued by silted and on-the-nose dialogue, but it's also in English. The actors are all Italian, with varying degrees of accent, so the use of Google translate or whatever program they accessed to tweak their 'English', makes this an even more difficult film to watch. The movie, although basically plot-less and non-sensical, would be have much better off if they stuck to their mother tongue and subtitles. It would not have saved this film by any means, but I may have added a star.

The location is decent enough, a castle in Italy, that's what initially pulled me in, but it stops there. The actors are are all mostly attractive, and none, have acting experience. Amateurish script and high school production value, it's as if they wrote the scenes on the fly. Unfortunately, I couldn't endure any more and had to abandon the film an hour in, I may one day, perhaps, force myself to watch the remaining 24 minutes.

If "The Plan" was to produce and distribute a film that was unintentionally, hilariously bad, then the people responsible for this movie have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. The performances, script, and dialogue were amateurish and comedic, at best. I kept waiting for Dan Ackroyd and Steve Martin to amble in and reprise their roles as the wild and crazy Festrunk Brothers from the 1970s Saturday Night Live skits. The "actor" playing the part of "John" in this movie was almost hysterically over-the-top, chewing the scenery with the aplomb of a woodchipper run amok.

I won't go into the plot, or any specific spoilers, because the chances are you aren't going to hang around and watch this movie through to the end i didn't.

I've seen a lot of found footage, maybe 300...Only a few were great, the rest goes from deep boredom to pathetic home movies. But this one...god.. The story is mundane, but the acting is just horrendous. Somewhere between a bad english accent contest and a play written by a 10 years old. I sometimes thought I was watching CCTV footage of a college dorm.

Almost as scary as a bad documentary on teenage lame parties, and not bad enough to be funny. The kind of FF you find freely on YouTube and you know why.

And, most of all...italian actors, in Italy, speaking english? Come on guys, you can't bé serious...or do you?
