First off, this anime is dialogue-driven it means its all "talk" not much action but their is action but mostly talking. It is actually an amazing anime and a very underrated one. It shows this human Willem is his name protects this children called 'leprechauns' who wields weapons they dont fear death thats why Willem is to protect them as the story progress the emotional the story is. Its all about how to live, to protect someone, to love someone eventhough youre different. Thats why i love this anime the dialogue is so good the interaction is entertaining sometimes very cute. The romance is cute and very real at that. And the ending is so emotional, so heavy at my heart that almost cry.
THIS ANIME IS WORTH IT TO WATCH

Very Good Watch deserves S2
I keep coming back to this Anime. Those who say it's superficial, don't understand the deeper meaning behind it. This is the story of our lives, the story of humanity, how the few sacrifice for the many, despite having so much to loose as well. In the end, Life is a cycle of sacrifices. It's a harsh world we live in. Same as in this Anime, the correlations are plain to see, even the theme song, Scarborough Fair being player both at the beginning and at the end, are a message, The song is for me the essence of the series, there is potential for Humanity but it rests upon near impossible tasks, and insurmountable losses of the few for the many, like it always has been for our people back to the beginning. Parsley is bitter, sage is wisdom, rosemary is a "relic" of the past, and thyme representes courage. And so we move forward. With Biter Sacrifices, often made in the name of love, with wisdom and courage, and the many lessons learned from our history. Watch it and you'll understand,
Nothing New.. Still a Good watch
It came up on the recommendations and I started it after watching few trailers. The Initial episodes suggested this is gonna be a great anime in the further episodes. But to my disappointment this turned out to be a boring one with very few interesting elements. The background score didn't had much impact on me. Overall.. You can watch this if you have way too much free time otherwise just skip it and watch other great anime.
Rote but enjoyable story.
Overall the animation is solid with a fairly interesting "world", and although I'm not a fan of the overly common older man + Lolicon/Hebephilia genre it actually made sense and worked in this instance when lifespans are short as indicated.
Music choice for the first / final episode was exceptional as is the storytelling that happens along with it (I seem to have a weakness for "Scarborough Fair").
The story of the male leads suffering could have been done a little better, but I could still identify with his loss, so all things considered it was not bad..
The bleakness of the world, along with those trying to find happiness was well handled, all in all it was worth the time and I'd enjoy a second season

Surface level, but cool.
Other than having the most unnecessarily long title I've ever seen, this anime wasn't bad. For the most part I was interested in what the characters were doing, I thought the world was intriguing, and the premise was fun. I do think it is a bit generic and forgettable, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good watch. I just think there are better anime out there with similar premises. Probably the highlight for me was the art direction, as the backgrounds and locations were excellently done and really beautiful to look at. Overall not a bad show, but I would recommend other anime over this one, such as Sword Art Online or Chivalry of a Failed Knight.
