    one time watch

excellent performances from both leads, lives upto the expectations post dumb laga ke haisha. they both choose good films which cover sensitive and real topics, making their viewing even better. disappointing to learn the story is a remake, therefore not an original, but, a great film none the less. the ending is slightly off putting as it becomes too unrealistic and quite bollywood. songs not so great, there could have been a nice romantic number by ayushman khurrana himself would have made the film better.

A humor filled treat on a medical issue.

For me to choose between those brainless comedies and a comedy like this one, on any day I would choose this one. The movie highlights story of love birds where male suffers from impotency and still they get married. It happens all because of confidence from female lead and great response from male lead.

It is as if yesterday I was explaining my friend Viagra sustains erection and does not put one. To be frank I don't know the truth, but after googling I know it is used for the cases dealing with erectile dysfunction (impotency). For being a man of Science, it would have not mattered to me additional ten minutes in that direction. Yes it would have put light on some curiosity even if end would have been the same.

It's a humorous treat friends, general audience would like it too. Spend your penny, you won't be disappointed.

    Stand up for love-ly movie!

Aanand L. Rai brings us back the iconic pair of 2015's hit movie- Dumb Lagake Haisha, that is Ayushman Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. Each one has a successful movie in last month itself. So, it is obvious to expect high from this film.

Trailer shows the basic story line up. Mudit and Sugandha are going to be married, but before two days of their wedding, Mudit realizes he suffers from an erectile dysfunction, which almost sabotages their wedding after both the families get involved. Which also leads to some comical incidents. That's how the film goes to the completion.

Ayushman Khurrana is my most favorite man in the current lot. He actually lives the exact character every time and leaves you speechless! After the successful Bareily, this will also count in his hit list. Bhumi Pednekar is also enjoyable. Toilet has more work for Bhumi, but here, she has to just support Ayushman, and she does a great job. This pair deserves your love this time and for the time to come, too. We also have to appreciate the work done by supporting cast in this type of films. So claps for all the actors! Music is suitable only in the film, otherwise not a single song is worth a download. I liked the Sainyaa song the most.

Dialogues and screenplay are worthy enough for the audience to not lost interest throughout the movie. Some scenes are extremely good! I liked the scene where Mudit reenters with his relatives to pleas Sugandha. I also got shocked to see Aanand Rai's favorite man's cameo in this film at the perfect moment. But, I could not be able to understand why they were shooting condom ad in Haridvar! LOL.

I request all the Adult people to go and watch this sweet movie. I wish girls should learn from the character of Bhumi to support your love unconditionally. I mean, that thing is required, but you have to understand His problems, too.

Overall, worth a watch. Bollywood is getting better with this kind of films in the remaining period of 2017.

An enjoyable and meaningful film about the loss of innocence among India's youth

Well, a very enjoyable film indeed in both style and execution, which works well as a romantic story even beyond the core issue it wants to deal with. The reason for it is probably that at the end of the day it is not really a core issue but just a plot element, and it's handled very subtly. What this film has going for it after all is its lovely romance and how beautifully it celebrates the Indian culture. Just to think that a decade before big banners were so pathetically obsessed with making films about Indians living abroad when there's so much to explore in India itself, which happens to be one of the most culturally rich places in the world. The film, through its nice story both embraces tradition in many ways but at the same time defies it more than once, making it an interesting study of the new life of Indian middle-class youth. They respect elders, they accept traditional customs of arranged marriages and everything that comes with it, but they have no qualms about premarital sex.

The film is technically impressive, it's natural and authentic, and above all it's humorous and wonderfully charming in its simplicity and comic tone. The dialogue is most casual and realistic, the story develops really well, and it manages to turn its core issue (the guy has what they call erectile dysfunction, a formal name for his actual struggle to engage spontaneously in sexual activity, probably due to being too nervous), as mentioned above, not all that central. It is the larger message of the story that provides a meaningful commentary on gender stereotypes of masculinity, on the pressure that new-age relationships place on today's often unassuming youth, and basically on the loss of innocence which manifests in over-exposure to the big world (and the west, in particular), and, in turn, demands everyone to meet some pretty high social expectations. It is this message of the film which thinking youngsters might like and relate to, and even the less thinking ones might become less judgemental.

All of what the film addresses is brilliantly encapsulated in Ayushmann Khuranna's compassionate performance. He manages to make his character an unlikely hero because he is as funny in his problem in the context of the story as he is touching in his obvious insecurity, always drawing the viewers' sympathy and affection. You really feel for him through his struggle and want him to get over it. What makes the story all the more so substantial in this regard is that he actually speaks about it (or hints at it), something few would probably do. His leading lady is the immensely pretty and likable Bhumi Pednekar, who is the right mix of sweet innocence and smart sophistication. Her gradual change throughout the story is very well done, and she shows great understanding and sensitivity. She really gives the vibes of a simple small-town girl. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a nice little film, a charming romantic comedy which is entertaining but also very educative and meaningful.

    Amazing Movie

SMS is a boutique movie that includes comedy, performances, and message. The cast has delivered a great outcome in regards of acting as per director's desires. Ayushmann and Bhumi look elegant. The dialogues of the film are awesome with the added advantage of cinematography and scenes.

Bhumi has emerged as an actress and Ayushmann is dashing as always. The life of a common Indian family is defined superbly.

It can be said a must watch -an entertaining movie.
