Ellipsis

Based on the existing reviews, I thought this would be a movie I'd enjoy. Unfortunately, I felt like it was a wasted couple of hours. The acting by the lead male was great, he was a likable and believable character, well executed. The style of filming was good. However, the plot left me wonder - what was the point? It essentially is a stream of pointless events, two people wandering around the city for a whole movie. Like the lengthy scene where multiple types of vibrators are discussed while the lead female character goggles awkwardly. Why? So much of this movie adds nothing, and it lacked any kind of depth. Way too much of the dialogue was pointless interactions with others. The end resolution was not so much of a resolution. It's more of a documentary of two people and their random occurrences on a night out on the town. I wish more time was spent on the secondary plot, as this felt underdeveloped, but added a lot to the depth of the movie.

Would not watch again.

I stumbled upon this movie with a bit of time to kill, I'd never heard of it and was not expecting much. I was hooked within the first couple of minutes and could literally not take my eyes off it. The two stars are so natural, you almost feel like you're intruding on their conversations. It's a gentle movie, a conversational movie with some nice moments of humour. I started watching this film knowing that it was set in Sydney, I always like to watch Australian films. I had no idea what to expect however I can 10/10 say I loved this film. It was so beautiful, random and brilliant and I haven't watched a film I enjoyed this much in ages. It reminded me that to have an adventure you need to take a risk. I loved the realness of the film and the connection/friendship shared amongst the two lead characters. It reminded me of the chance encounter I had with one of my now long term friends. I don't usually write reviews but something about this film moved me and so I decided to write this review. If you have not watched this I think it is worth watching.

Amazingly "Real" a life love drama in Sydney , David well done on a amazing first production as Producer. Excellent uncanny Meetings which capture essence of REAL TIME sydney night life With so many unusua characters which all just 'jell'. I was impressed to say the least.Cant wait to see your next movie , i loved every second , excellent actor's excellent time line. Just amazing, keep up the brilliance. Very cool!
