Kahoko is 21-year-old university student in the middle of her job hunting process. However, she seems to be unable to find a job. Her father thinks it is because she has always been overprotected, treated as a little child, her mother doing everything for her. One day, a chance meeting with another university student changes her life.

Kahoko decides to ask everyone in her family about their reasons to work, trying to find which job would better suit her and whether she can find a job where she can make people happy.

Kahoko starts to take her own decisions, without the help of her mother, who cannot cope with the new situation. On top of that, she doesn't trust Kahoko's new friend, Hajime Mugino, and will try to keep both of them apart.
