With Lou Diamond Phillips, Jason London and horses, this had the promise of an ideal film, boy was I disappointed!
How on earth did they rope Phillips into this tosh. It seems to have been written by a child, the dialogue didn't flow and the teenagers couldn't act. The lead needs to go back to drama school.
The horses were a very minor part of it, no riding, what did they do to make money at the ranch? The killing of chickens seemed daft, why eat your egg layers, not cockerels or old hens. It seemed who directed this had very little understanding and knowledge of rural life and the cast were unable to ride or act.
Phillips was in it for moments, it could have been so much more with a decent script and actors.
Three start for Phillips, London (although he didn't act either) and the beautiful horses.

I decided to watch this because I love Lou Diamond Phillips. After a few minutes all I felt was embarrassment for him. This is the cheesiest, most implausible, badly acted movie I've ever seen. The entire premise is far fetched. The reactions of the actors to real life situations were just awful. So fake. The only positive thing I can say about this movie is that the horses were pretty! Sadly they don't get much screen time. Truthfully, their acting was better than the entire cast! C Thomas Howell was actually scary to look at. He looks like some wild, homeless person. Do yourself a favor, and skip it. I'll be here mourning the hour and a half that I can't get back!!!
I have to admit I'm not the target audience as I'm a little bit older LOL however I usually like these sappy teen dramas but this was terrible and I am sorry to say that cuz I really wanted to like it. The dialogue felt forced and unemotional which made the acting appear stiff and untalented. It was really hard to get to the end. I hate having those feelings of yay this movie finally ended. Perhaps for a tween audience or even a little younger it would be fine to kill an hour and a half.
This film about a urban teenager making mistakes and then not knowing how to Put those wrongs right, was an entertaining and thoughtful Story about the struggles that beset us as we Struggle to find a path to follow, as we grow.
Faith, On the face of things, was pretty well behaved, somehow needing guidance.
The stories Structure Was good and Caractors interesting. I thought earlier comments a little unkind! At the movies end, its writers made the brave decision to give faith a move adventurous departure, rather than a predictable and so So safe outcome. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, nice.
