Now We Are Ready to Begin

Satisfying, exciting, and had plenty of heart. Even with the technological missteps, practical inconsistencies, and all-to-accepted Dr. Smith manipulations, the first season of Lost in Space paid off with a satisfying, exciting, and very watchable episode. Of course, for every story which completed its arc, we have plenty of still-unanswered questions, but it felt worth the ride once the credits rolled, and in retrospect it appears that the purpose of season one was a complicated true beginning for the Robinson family (in many different ways).

For the season, Maxwell Jenkins shone brighter than his fellow cast members with an emotional sincerity and maturity beyond his years; just a pleasure to watch. Ignacio Serricchio comes in a close second with his domination of the screen every time he appeared with a show of heart behind the comedy and snarky elements written for his character. Taylor Russell and Toby Stephens tie for third as they are actually two versions of the same character; both performed with a depth of humanity that helped keep the science fiction series grounded in emotional reality. Very much looking forward to future Robinson family performances from all four should Netflix bless us with a season 2 - I am hoping that they do.

I wanted it to be better

1st off I liked the movie with Gary oldman he made a great dr Smith, the dr smith (or not dr smith) in this movie was boring and kinda ruined it was praying for her to be killed off and then introduce the real dr smith and have someone more sinister,a lot of the episodes sent me to sleep I was waiting for the action but instead got life lessons courtesy of the space family Robinson if there's a season 2 actually have something like the original where they end up on different planets, instead of loadsa people stranded on a planet,it's called "lost in space" not im a b list actor get me outta here

"Lost In Space" saves it's best episode for last with a season finale that delivers some surprises and though it teased an idea that I thought they might be going for (that somehow they'd stay in space long enough to land on the planet again on the other side of the cataclysmic event) in the end there was a completely different outcome and one that has me interested in what might be coming in the second season.

    Really enjoy this show

Very entertaining, needs more episodes per season though.

I expected more from Netflix, but over all the series was good.

So i don't know if it's okay to say this , but i kinda got tricked into watching this in the first place , as i thought that actor "John Robinson" is Michael Fassbender !!! lol ,, seriously with that short hair he just looked a twin of Michael .. nevertheless , the guy "Toby Stephens" was really good actor, and he did an amazing job , and that "June Harris" Oh man, I hated her, which only means she was really good at her role , the whole cast did good,, well, of course apart from the kid "Will Robinson" like oh my goodness,, he's over doing it, like just tune it down a notch man !! you're not the lead in here.

Anyway,, the series as i said was good,, it did not rise to the usual Original Netflix level of thrill or even Sci-Fi ,, but still the plot had just a little hint of originality and the writers did a fine job using that ,, in some parts in went slow but again ,, in general it all leveled up.

Final thought, the ending was good, open and somewhat scary .. don't know yet if the series got renewed , but if it did i think they need to work more on the Sci-Fi ,, which in my opinion define the genre of the show,, the other minor parts of the genre, the drama , the action , adventure , it was fine .. and yeah ,, just lose the kid , or someone tell him to tune down the fake unnecessary overly excessive emotions.

When the Robot says "Friends, Will Robinson" the hatch is open, so the room is in a vacuum, and there would be no air to transmit the sound of the Robot's voice to Will.
    • Quotes

John Robinson: I love Penny 'cause she gives me lip. But she tries harder than anyone will ever give her credit for. I love Will 'cause he sees things that I can't see. Anyway, he's smarter than I am. I love Judy 'cause even though I'm not her biological dad, she's exactly like me. I mean, she's strong, fearless... Ah. Maybe I just wish I was more like her.
