Good episode, but - at 20:17 they walk by a tree stump that's been cut with a saw.
The fourth installment in the series brings us a quieter and more relationship-exploring episode. We explore the spousal tensions, sibling bonding and trust, politics, power-posturing manipulation, and Jupiter neighbors. As has quickly become the norm, the more we learn, the more questions there are to be answered. While some characters are becoming more endearing, others are less and less likable (and that's not just the established villain...). The old show was very family-centric, with visitors (good and bad) showing up for each episode, and the reboot has a much larger character-base to draw from which means that we sometimes get to spend too much time with personalities that are simply uninteresting or completely annoying. While there are pluses and minuses to the expanded universe, the show is already its best when the Robinsons are the primary focus, but it appears that the ancillary characters are a necessary road on our journey through the season's story arc.
As I understand it, Victor is the elected colony representative so he should be able to authorize John to print a weapon - handgun and/or rifle - as they begin to encounter more threats. Or heck, get the Robot to print one - he had no issues getting around security protocols when he printed the handgun for Will.
The fact that the robot is learning human values from Will and should know nothing about the human race except by his interaction with Will, I have to wonder how the robot knew it could print a weapon in the first place. And it seems to know that it's kind (robots) are dangerous to humans so why not build a weapon that blasts hot plasma shots like the robots use when attacking?
And, no, Maureen has no input into this discussion. She has made it clear that she is smarter than most others by her input into building the Resolute but she has no concept of defensive tactics - her SEAL husband does. Let him contribute to their survival by using his skill set developed while in the armed forces.

Now I am getting attached to this twisted family with fighter father, Super smart mother, doctor elder daughter, daring son and my favorite Funny younger daughter. Believe me 3/4 of the light tone of this series is just because of Mina Sundwall.
After watching this episode there is one thing i can tell about the quality of this series : The new Lost in Space is the perfect show if you want to introduce your children in the world of REAL science-fiction.

- TriviaDon says he named the chicken he has been carrying around in his backpack "Debbie." This is a nod to the original series in which Don found "Debbie the Bloop" (a chimp-like creature with a large cranium and extended ears) whom he gave to Penny as a pet.
- GoofsAfter Penny coerces Vijay not to tell his dad about the robot, by holding hostage the envelope Vijay dropped on the trail, Penny is shown holding the white envelope behind her back as Judy and Will walk past her. Once they pass, she no longer has the envelope in her hand. Then in the following shot, as they head up the trail, she has the envelope in her hand again.
