Falling for Vermont was a sweet Saturday night treat. Both lead actors are attractive, serious, and very appealing. The children are excellent, particularly the little daughter, who is both beautiful and very gifted, expressive, and convincing in her role. However, the plot had some rather obvious 'holes' in it. If a car goes off the road in a rain storm, does it still not have a license plate on it that can be traced to the owner? That seems to have gone completely out of the script. Also, did the police not search the car for the driver's belongings, to help identify her? Her cell phone kept ringing, lying on the seat, quite visible, and could have helped identify her despite her amnesia. These seemed like logical steps to take, and would have identified the driver immediately. They were bypassed in order to make the script viable..but actually seemed like a huge compromise instead. One almost sat and shouted at the TV screen, "Look in the car!"..
The 2 leads were very convincing, attractive and one rooted for them to fall in love and finally admit it. Despite the logical issues here, this was a very appealing movie and worth every minute of watching. Two mature, serious leads.

When she crashes her sister's car down a ravine which results in her amnesia, she is found walking along the road by the Sheriff with a cut on her head. It never occurs to the Sheriff to look for a car - If he had he would have found the car nearby, checked the registration, tag, VIN... - movie over in 20 minutes. And after her boyfriend and sister don't hear from her in days, anyone in the real world would have long since called the police to issue a Missing Persons Report. If you overlook those flaws the movie is entertaining enough. Lead actress Julie Gonzalo is very good in everything I've seen her act in, and with her noticeable childhood scar visible right between her eyes, once you see her in a TV show or movie, you'll never forget her - distinctive for her acting and appearance, smooth voice/delivery, and the way she conducts herself. The whole cast does a good job, the kids one of the higher points. As usually with Hallmark, entertaining, not edge of the seat suspense, but entertaining.
I thought the writing was well done, very realistic. First time seeing the two main character actors and I think they did a really good job, very believable in their roles. Definitely worth watching.
Thanks to the excellent acting of all concerned, especially the two leads, this was a very enjoyable little movie. The gimmick in this one was amnesia. This is not one of the usuals. A stressed out and manipulated best selling young adult author makes her getaway right before she is about to be interviewed on TV. Yes she leaves everyone in the lurch at the last minute. She has an automobile accident and loses her memory. This is where a little suspension of disbelief kicks in because she needs a week or two without her memory for a story and a romance develop. She is a world famous author who was about to be on the red carpet for a movie premier of a movie based on one of her novels. And no one except her sister and her boyfriend/manager knows she is missing. Add to that the police do not search for a car which should have been found in hours as a tree fell across the road where her car drove into a gully. That is where her cell phone is and the clues to her identity.
Oh well, these are the little things you just have to roll with when looking at a Hallmance. These things rest on the appeal of the leads and secondary characters and based on this, it was a win. The actress, Julia Gonzalo, reminded me of another actress, and it was driving me crazy until I figured it out: A little known in America English actress Charity Wakefield. Looked just like her. I liked the widowed doctor as portrayed by Benjamin Ayers as well. Very likable guy.Pleasant scenery, gentle romance, nothing much to mock. The amnesia trick added some suspense and interest as well. I loved the way the set decorators stuck fake orange leaves in random places as well to convey the Fall theme. Very amusing. Well worth watching.

I know this is almost a doppelganger for A Christmas to Remember with Mira Sorvino & Cameron Mathison - but I liked it anyway ! The 2 leads here, Julie Gonzalo & Benjamin Ayres give assured mature performances and the supporting roles were great. Julie has such expressive features & i could be held spellbound by her beautiful eyes ! Try to come up with more original storylines next time tho' Hallmark !

- TriviaSimilar plot to A Christmas to Remember (2016) where a celebrity (Mira Sorvino) gets into an accident, develops amnesia, and falls in love with the small-town guy who is widowed single dad who helps her. This is not a coincidence because both movies were co-produced for and by Hallmark.
- GoofsThe kids never seem to have to go to school, and the girl filling out housing info says she is starting Emerson University that fall, but it's already October; she should have already been at college.
