    Long Live Sanvers

Well, we knew this day was coming. With Floriana Lima soon exiting her series regular role, the Sanvers relationship wasn't exactly a guarantee going forward. This episode saw the end of that relationship for good. Since Alex and Maggie began dating almost a year ago now, the show saw a significant improvement in quality, which mostly had to do with the fact that these characters finally had depth and something for us to cling onto. I don't necessarily think that will end with this relationship seeing its final kiss, but it will be interesting to see what ensues going forward.

Morgan Edge once again took the honor of being the villain of the week as he made yet another move on Lena Luthor, this time attempting to tarnish her legacy once and for all. He found a way to blame her for the mysterious children being sick from lead poisoning. It wasn't an interesting plot, but it did give Kara and Samantha a reason to build a bond in their fight against Edge. Samantha seems to be adapting to her apparent Kryptonian descent, and I think we're in for a huge mid- season turn from Samantha aka Reign.

While the Edge stuff wasn't all that interesting, I'm glad the show finally decided to build on something that happened the season before and use it for a future plot line. Although it wasn't executed all that well, I'm glad they aren't just forgetting potential hazards that may have caused in seasons past. That to me is a step in the right direction for the show. It does however bring up a larger question: Is Edge the big bad of this year or does that title perhaps belong to Reign?

Overall, it wasn't a great episode, but it was one that definitely built upon characters and plot points for the season to come. Even though that should be something a show should do automatically, that hasn't been a strong point for Supergirl from the get-go.

    Could be better

Not a bad episode. Just the continuity errors are frustrating. She cant hold a 50 ton C-130 from falling, yet in season premiere she lift a 6000 (or more) ton submarine from water. Looks like dialogs are more important then the story. Its could be better.

    Supercorp for the Win!!

The relationship between Kara and Lena continues to be the healthiest portrayal of friendship, love, and support on the entire CW. The romantic undertones are also paralleling the Clark/Lois pairing so, SO well. Very exciting, I can't wait to see what's next for this iconic duo.

Lena Luthor: Mr. Olsen. Come to tell Kara "I told you so"? Another Luthor takes innocent lives, news at eleven?

James Olsen: Ms. Luthor, despite our differences, I would hope by now that you would recognize that I see you as more than just an extension of your brother. However, I... I do think that you should get ahead of this thing. Which, in my opinion, I think you should step down from CatCo; so whatever we report, good or bad, comes off as truthful.

Kara Danvers: No, that would look like an admission of guilt.

Lena Luthor: No, Kara, he's right. Whatever's happening, whoever's responsible, this is a public crisis, and the public deserves to be able to trust the reporting so that they can prepare themselves. They expect integrity from us. They deserve it, and they need it now more than ever. Mr. Olsen, you will run CatCo until this is resolved. And I think I should also step down from L-Corp.

Samantha Arias: Lena, we need you. We need you to help guide the research.

Lena Luthor: No, no. L-Corp has a brain trust that is more than capable, okay? If I'm involved, I could be accused of... of covering things up, or even profiting from the sick. This can't be like Flint, Michigan, okay? Where... where bureaucracy got in the way. Helping people has to be the focus.
