This is a well-made film, production value is very high and overall, the cinematography and look of the film is very pleasing. There are also some fantastic landscapes. Sound and music are ok, it could have used more memorable scores mixed with the eerie sound to create familiarity and themes etc. Actors are a combo of good, bad and mediocre. The lead actor is wooden and hard to watch, this film suffers from a terrible casting agency or bad choices by the director. No actor stands out but there are some amateur actors mixed in with some seasoned good actors are doing their best with an ordinary screenplay. The screenplay is convoluted, not engaging or interesting at all, I'm not sure the film knows what the story is about, its quite boring and there is no shred of horror at all, I felt nothing, there is no heart or soul. The editing is good but there is also a mismatch with GREAT VFX and again, mediocre and average so the consistency is not there. Overall, this film looks like a professional and great production, and I am sure everyone worked so hard on this film - but the biggest problem in conclusion is the STORY and the ACTORS, and DIRECTING. I think the director has promise and talent and I'm sure with the right screenplay he will go very far.
Why do reviewers always feel the need to give allowances for indie and small production films? If the movie is not good, just say so.... why the "for an indie project" caveats ? Does this movie reak of garbage ? Not quite, it does have its moments, but if this were a big studio production you would not be seeing any 7s, 8s, and 9s given to it. There would be many paragraphs pointing out the flaws.
The scenes are jumped quickly. scares are expected and predictable. A lot of cut scenes, can be quite confusing. Low Budget movie overall. Props used are of poor quality. Effects (moving of chairs, flickering of lights, eye contact lenses of scarers) are all obviously staged and artificial. (I could literally see the contact lenses and strings to make effects).
The plot of the story is poor and doesn't link up. It's not interesting at all. Wouldn't recommend anyone to watch it.

Do not watch this movie. Waste my time and money.
Actors was not really great.
Not scary at all.
Boring.
Buildup was very slow, took 30 mins to introduce the actors and background.
Low Budget Production.
It rarely happens for horror movies on here. Most of the time horror movies are under rated on here but this one was definitely over rated. 7 is not accurate - IMO. I was intrigued and I wanted to know what was going on but there were some elements that weren't needed at all. Then some flashbacks we're improperly placed. It wasn't 10 which is a movie I can watch over and over. And it's not a 1 - a wooden film with no plot, acting and film skill of me (I have no skill). But a 7 is generous. 5 is my vote.
