This episode covered some of the most powerful themes we encounter as humans. Abuse (physical/sexual), social service dysfunction, unexpected/violent loss, vengeance, and grief. In less than an hour these topics are dealt with in great detail and the actors are able to hold the emotion of these experience expertly. Such a healing episode to watch- and despite the intense violence- every part of me rooted for these characters to succeed in every way.
I love these characters, the acting and writing is superb. There were several touching moments. The relationship between these two seems new to me for a TV show. I would love to see this get its own show with these same actors.

This episode fills the backstory of Hawk and Dove but is by no means a lesser chapter. Its one of my favorite episodes of TV this season and the best of Titans so far. Directing, writing and acting were excellent, and Alan Ritchson was truly outstanding, he gives an unexpected depth to Hank that is emotionally gripping. Minka Kelly does the same for Dawn and together they carry this show beautifully.
I like this series very much, but I don't get the many deepened characters we only see once or twice. How do they fit together? Will they all be titans? Or who? And when? Before the series gets canceled I hope. Besides that... I know it was a filler episode, but seriously, they have one special fx stunt scene and they use this crappy shot with unnatural car movements CGI?! Hello? Anybody home in the fx department?
Honestly, I don't approve of this series because it is the desecration of the comics... but this episode was a favorite never the less.
The story addressing great issues like grief and rape, and really works on them. Not in your face, like 13 reasons why, but in a more subtle way but still keeping the shock factor.
Would recommend.
