A very special but also quite interesting film. Some will adore it, some will find it boring. It is the first date of two millennials, who practice online dating. The whole movie is this, the first rendezvous of the two, which actually are the only actors in the film. This appointment is about telling the truth, there is spontaneity, fears, serious talk, jokes, games. A first date many of us will see a lot from our lives, but also from the lives of others who have always wondered if that was the case. Obviously a low budget production, but maybe that was ultimately necessary. After all, the first date of two everyday people couldn't be luxurious and surely a movie that would show it like that wouldn't be realistic. The performances are not for the Oscars, but they are extremely natural. After all, it is required by the concept of film. Watch it, I think it won't disappoint you.
This isn't a movie for everyone because it's dialogue driven but to those of you that like those types of movies you'll really enjoy this. Very Linklater-y which I loved
Not a great movie but still a solid effort. You can tell it's a low budget project but I thought the performances and script were very engaging and relatable even though I'm a bit older than the target audience. My favorite scene was the Johnny Bravo monologue. I don't want to spoil it but when you see it it will change the way you view the Johnny Bravo character.
I feel like when a movie is all dialogue it's the writing that makes or breaks a movie and the writing in this film was excellent. So many memorable moments. It goes to show that you don't need a huge budget to make a strong film.
This was a super sweet film and I don't really like the cutesy stuff. This felt like something that could really happen in today's dating world and that made me enjoy it even more. The writing was very witty and I thought the actors really seemed like they were digging on each other. I want to know what happened after their date ended lol
