The episode strictly dealt with Alex and Kara's younger selves as they were still at an age of being constantly at odds with one another and deal with high school drama on a regular basis. The plot involved a predator, drugs, and a murder mystery. Where the heck did that come from? Well, it's not something I would have asked for (ever) from this show, but it wasn't as bad as it sounds. The two young actresses they got to play young Alex and young Kara not only look the part, but had solid enough chemistry to hold their own for an episode.
Again, the whole murder mystery and other various criminal activity wasn't necessary and didn't really provide a lot thematically, but this was all about showing the bond between Kara and Alex in a different light. So in that way, it succeeded. Actually come to think of it, this episode felt like something straight out of Riverdale, or any other CW-teen show. And that's pretty much it in terms of plot and things to comment on. It was a serviceable episode (as I love to say oh so often), but nothing I would ever watch again.

- TriviaKara tells Alex about Clark's friend Chloe and her Wall of Weird, a reference to the Smallville (2001) character Chloe Sullivan as played by Allison Mack. In 2019, "Smallville" was retroactively connected to the Arrowverse when Tom Welling and Erica Durance played their versions of Clark and Lois in the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, which also retroactively suggests here that a version of Chloe exists on Earth-38.
- GoofsYoung Kara asserts that she is 'literally bulletproof,' while in the pilot episode, adult Kara is unsure if she is.
- Quotes
Eliza Danvers: You're still out here?
Kara Danvers: Yep.
Eliza Danvers: I made coffee in case this turns into a teary all-nighter.
Kara Danvers: Oh, you don't have to stay up.
Eliza Danvers: Well, this is the "mom" fine print. When your child's in agony, you show up regardless the hour.
