Summary
Reviewers say 'Comicstaan' receives mixed feedback, with praise for its innovative concept, diverse comedy styles, and contestant development. Positive reviews commend the show's talent discovery and constructive judge feedback. Conversely, critics cite issues with the judging panel, alleging bias and ineffective critiques. Some viewers find the comedy unfunny, the execution poor, and the content overly vulgar and cringe-worthy. Fresh and Drama Free!
No sad participant backstory..
No judge vs judge fights..
No soap opera-ish drama..
No unnecessary suspense..
No tears..
No nonsense.
This is what this show is all about: A group of well known comedians come together to select and mentor 10 fresh comic faces over a course of several weeks. Each week one of the judges picks up a genre and guides the participants to perform on the stage. You can see their imperfections, hiccups, sometimes even their nervousness.. but they persist and every now and then (in fact quite frequently), a gem of a performance comes out. By the time you get to the end of the show, you realize that your perception of stand-up has changed!
God knows what is there to hate in this?!
This is a simple, fun show for simple audience wanting a little entertainment and a little insight into 'joke making'.

I like everything expect AISHWARYA (contestant)
It is a very good show, they genuinely judge right. And AT LEAST IT IS BETTER THAN THE COMEDY SHOWS THAT WE WATCH ON TV like Kapil Sharma stuff... This is way better in jokes, and fun. At least everything here is TRANSPARENT. But the most ANNOYING CONTESTANT who really gets on my nerves is Aishwarya; she is damn overrated. She talks as if she's raging. She feels rude and way too arrogant. Her laughs while doing standup, are very pathetic. Other than that, everybody performs well.
I like NISHANT SURI, PRASHASTHI, SHANKAR, REUBEN, SAURAV AND RAHUL DUA.
Poor judging and average comedy
You can't just praise everyone everytime, even after pathetic performances
Great show
This is such an amazing show...maybe the contestants were a bit amateur but that's the whole point of the show to see them grow and push thier boundaries...the show had some remarkable stand-ups and some that weren't so good...but it's sooooo worth the time
A new concept. A brilliant show.
I am never hyped about any reality show. But I was genuinely interested in Comicsthaan. I was waiting for Friday. The unique thing about this show... You learn a lot. No emotional Drama. You learn a lot on when to joke. I thouroughly loved it. Those who didn't follow season 1... Bad luck.
