Reviewers say 'Comicstaan' receives mixed feedback, with praise for its innovative concept, diverse comedy styles, and contestant development. Positive reviews commend the show's talent discovery and constructive judge feedback. Conversely, critics cite issues with the judging panel, alleging bias and ineffective critiques. This is such an amazing show...maybe the contestants were a bit amateur but that's the whole point of the show to see them grow and push thier boundaries...the show had some remarkable stand-ups and some that weren't so good...but it's sooooo worth the time
We're watching from NZ and just absolutely loving this show. From the hosts right through to to the acts and judging, its just brilliant. It's literally improving our quality of life with the endless laughter. Thank you Thank you and please don't stop!

If you like youtube humour, you'll dig the show. Otherwise what can I say for Kapil Sharma fans.
**One thing when you see comicstaan, the judges are so benelovent and judge from the heart. Nurture like a mother would. Constructive criticism is the only one to be taken seriously, everything else is ranting. Terrific. All of em, maybe cuz they all know the struggle and fought to make a industry for themselves, and handed by rich parents in industry (Kapoor, Johar).

No sad participant backstory..
No judge vs judge fights..
No soap opera-ish drama..
No unnecessary suspense..
No tears..
No nonsense.
This is what this show is all about: A group of well known comedians come together to select and mentor 10 fresh comic faces over a course of several weeks. Each week one of the judges picks up a genre and guides the participants to perform on the stage. You can see their imperfections, hiccups, sometimes even their nervousness.. but they persist and every now and then (in fact quite frequently), a gem of a performance comes out. By the time you get to the end of the show, you realize that your perception of stand-up has changed!
God knows what is there to hate in this?!
This is a simple, fun show for simple audience wanting a little entertainment and a little insight into 'joke making'.

I am never hyped about any reality show. But I was genuinely interested in Comicsthaan. I was waiting for Friday. The unique thing about this show... You learn a lot. No emotional Drama. You learn a lot on when to joke. I thouroughly loved it. Those who didn't follow season 1... Bad luck.
