Vaild attempt try to explore a character that fell flat!

Sadly when you move on from some of the original cast of a TV show, you need create excellent background stories for the new characters you have added into that TV show! If this is the vehicle that you using for this specific episode was this epic fail! Here's the thing when one of your character is an orphan, there plenty of ways to create a believable narrative other than this hodgepodge of story line to examine one of your new characters with more favorable light! The subject matter was not the problem the process was problematic as this not aspect in any previous episodes with this character! I do applaud the effort and the care of how to handle the subject matter was bought forward just not context in this story. Quinn and Torres backstories were not good at all (the fact that they dated, really) and this is probably worst! How is that only one character on this show has the foresight check the background of person this story lines who is providing all key information on this case? Bishop's background story so much better than Quinn's, Torres's or Reeve's by very wide margin, if you can create her character in that fashion, why are the other characters so poorly integrated into your show? I love this show but not bad parts of show, like poor character development. With another new cast member who is slowly being added into mix let hope that show does better job bringing that story forward in the future. This one was a mess and hopefully the whole show learned from this experience!

    Bad overacting

Is anyone going to talk about the actress that played Melissa? Her acting is ridiculous and unbelievable. Everything she does is way over the top. She over-acts to the point where it makes her story unbelievable. Her character was such a distraction to the story. I think they made a bad choice when they cast her. I've not seen her in many things and I think I know why.

I do like the idea of developing Clayton's backstory. It is helpful in understanding the choices he makes. I enjoyed his character for as long as he was a part of NCIS.

All that aside I felt the episode was kind of predictable. Why is there always classified info that will "destroy the world" if we don't recover it in time.

    New story line please.

    • Goofs
Dr. Palmer says that even a heavy user of the opioid painkiller oxycodone would have coordination and balance issues with a dose of 80 mg. This isn't necessarily true, with continued, frequent use (for chronic pain or for an addict) a person can become tolerant to the painkilling properties and to a lot of the side effects opioids have, including reduced coordination and reaction time. It is actually fairly common for long term chronic pain patients to be on well over 100 mg of oxycodone per day; abusers and addicts of oxycodone can even far exceed that dose as well and still function normally with little to no sign of impairment.
