I took a big chance buying this game. I didn't like the anthropomorphic art style, and it turned me away from the game multiple times. But then I gave it a chance. The narrative is amazing, the characters are great, the music is masterful. If you like story-based games like What Remains of Edith Finch or Oxenfree, absolutely try this one out.
I don't know how creator has done it, I am not even from America but I have lived in a small town, and this feeling of yeah the town still exist, but it's not thriving it's so on point.
The feeling of coming back to hometown and nothing have changed, it feels the same and people still remember the kid were and not that adult you that you are now.
Atmosphere good, like I don't even have to have a podcast or anything in the background. I am completely absorbed.
The story is so goddamn emotional punch. I can feel it in my gut, this early adulthood where you don't know what to do and don't know what to do with yourself. So just self hate comes.
Lots of small optional mini games and random encountered to make the Town feel alive, maybe it's slowly dying but the people in it are still alive.
The music is really good atmospheric works in all elements, in not something I would listen to outside the game but it works so well in the game. They played bass in a lot of it and it plays good with the main characters chosen instrument.
Lovely story memorable characters that will stay in my heart A good experience all around and a young adult classic.

Game was little slow and boring but soon the game keeps getting interested and intense as the story progresses.
Sounds and music of this game are great and enjoyable.
It would have been good if the conversation between two characters has voice-over instead just of reading the long conversation which was boring.

I have never encountered any piece of media in my entire life that I care about as much as this game. It is beautiful, funny, heartwarming, intelligent, and deeply saddening. The game has a mystery plot, but you don't play it for the plot. You play it for the incredible characters, not just the main four. Every character in this game has its own personality and story. There are so many different things you can do, so many choices you can make, and while it's possible to finish this game without experiencing most of it, you get out of this game what you put in. On my first playthrough, I opted out of a lot of optional content, which lowered my enjoyment of the game. On the second playthrough, however, I took the time to experience this game to its fullest, and I was not disappointed. Truly a one of a kind game. Do yourself a favor and play this.
The beginning was very slow, but the characters and their interactions were compelling enough to keep me interested enough in continuing. The bass playing was fun, but it was less important than I thought it would be. I really like how there's a lot of different storylines going on, and you get to choose to focus on the ones you care about. The gameplay was never very compelling, which is one issue I have with the game, but it makes up for it with how well the story builds up near the end.
