Music superstar Hazel discovers her husband Derek cheating on her. After Hazel's breakup, she meets with her best friends Ari and Bree and they vow to prioritize their friendship, as Ari helps Hazel to release her single. Series premiere.
Ari becomes Hazel's divorce lawyer. Bree and Gary go to counseling. Bree learns that Gary's been unhappy for years. Bree runs into the woman Gary cheated with, realizes she wants a divorce. Derek makes a campaign donation to Ari's husband.
Derek announces his engagement to Stella. Ari and David clash about Derek's involvement in David's campaign. Unable to track down Hazel's prenup, Ari, Hazel and Bree break into Derek's penthouse. Bree serves Gary with divorce papers.
A scandalous video of Ari's daughter is leaked. Bree starts to face the reality of a life without Gary. Hazel is forced to sell off her prized possessions to help with her financial situation. Hazel decides to self-release her own album.
At a party for a music producer with Ari and Bree, Hazel decides to release her album herself. Ari runs into an old flame and fantasizes about him while high on peyote. Bree also has a crazy high and realizes she still loves Gary.
Ari tries to reignite her marriage with David but winds up alone at her parents' vacation home. Bree hooks up with Gary at a birthday party. Khalil helps Hazel return to her roots at an open mic night, after which they finally hook up.
Hazel and Bree go to Sag Harbor to support Ari. Ari remembers how she kissed Wesley the night before her wedding. In the present, Bree admits she slept with Gary and Ari considers divorcing David. David shows up with a surprising proposal.
Hazel finishes her album with a top ten single. David plans a romantic weekend for Ari. Bree tells Gary she no longer wants a divorce. Hazel joining Derek's new venture leads Bree to kick her out of her house and Ari to quit as her lawyer.
Ari is offered a new job, causing her and David to argue about a move. Bree realizes she's ready to work on her marriage. Hazel decides working with Derek again is a mistake. An announcement is made at Hazel's album release party.
