It's not that the show can't make it without Kevin spacey, it's that the writers went off onto some weird tangent. And hello, what happened to the politics? Congressmen, senators, laws? It's like Claire is the US worst fear in a female president-totally dramatic and out for revenge. Revenge against who? I don't even think she knows. I'm slogging our these last two episodes out duty.
I never thought I would feel sorry for Doug Stamper. But he is a lightweight when compared to Claire. He and Tom Hammerschmidt pound things out. Tom is probably the most honorable person in this entire series. He is true to his journalistic being to the bitter end. Claire isn't just evil; she is an assassin with little or no regard for the lives of others. Her ambition is founded on her sociopathic, born to kill anyone that crosses her, mentality. Doug knows what is owed him, but Claire ambushes him. Now there is another surprise at the conclusion of Episode 71. We're only half way there.
Why? The show has always been a little over the top but the last season is insane! It's a daytime soap. There's absolutely no plot; it's just a series of laughable conspiracies and scandals. I'm so disappointed with myself for watching the whole season
She most definitely can carry this show alone!! Really enjoyed this episode
Greetings from Lithuania.
So with only two episodes left to see, i can honestly say that this season is far more better then i thought it will be after main star Kevin Spacey has left the building, so to speak and after seeing extremely negative scores here art IMDb. And yes, Kevin was extremely missing in a fist episodes, but then little by little, this season started to grow on my and now i kinda highly enjoy it - this is mainly because of great writing and good story itself as well as superb acting by everyone involved - those qualities did not change even after Kevin left, and this is what makes this show truly a hell of a entertainment.
