The film is a gem that had remained hidden from me until I finally watched it today on Netflix. What a delightful flick! Just the kind of light hearted entertainer that you would want to want to watch on a breezy morning or a sultry afternoon.
The story of three friends Bajrang, Vakil and Kapil, could well be the story of many school kids. Exams, which do seem like the tallest mountains possible, how to scale and climb this mammoth summit is what this film explores. The antics of the three friends, their mischiefs at school, the sarcastic remarks of their teachers will hit right through you as you watch this movie.
I don't intend on giving any spoilers but the film reveals perhaps the greatest method to enhance your performance in studies: Learn as if you were to teach someone. There is no better way. It also teaches that magic isn't just in conjuring up a pigeon out of thin air, it lies, in reality, in transforming yourself and others. That is real magic.
But with the moral of the story out of the way, I leave it for you to watch the film and discover its many joys and lessons yourself. Enjoy!
There are generally two types of great movies: the ones that allow you to appreciate the artistry behind their creation, and the ones that whisk you back to a special time in your life, like a nostalgic trip through your own childhood or teenage years, almost as if you're watching your personal memoir unfold on-screen.
For me, "Dhh" is the latter kind of film.
It brings back memories of exam anxiety, playing and studying with my best friends, skipping classes for spontaneous adventures, only to face the inevitable scolding from parents and teachers. I remember the struggle of not doing well in tests, then rallying together to hit the books and improve our scores. This movie magically (no pun intended) transports me to my joyous, eventful childhood.
The thing that impressed me most is that despite the storytelling being so simple and without complicated themes, you never get annoyed or tired by its banality; instead, you slowly get drawn to its simpler world as it invites you to indulge in the beauty of those shared moments; the bonds, the innocence, and the vibrant school-life we once embraced but have since drifted away from.
I wish I could go back and relive those moments!

What a master piece movie. So much comedy and remind us the our school days and childhood. Its hindi gujarti movie. My kids loved the movie and planning to watch it again.
The climax predictable but director still manage to twist the climax and give good message.
Love the birbal 😄 superb inspiring movie. 👍🏻
If you have not yet watched it. Do it now and you will love it... i hope we get to watch similar movie more...
A hidden gem I must say. A story which will inspire people of any age. This movie is not about the kids studying hard and getting good marks. It's all about finding the hidden magician within yourself. And not just magician within ourselves but recognising magicians all around us , our parents, our teachers who are responsible for way we are today. Director clearly knows what he wants to show. Kids are amazing with spot on acting. Story never drags the whole movie. By the end of the movie I bet you will feel very good.
For someone who moved overseas after spending 25 years in the streets of Gujarat, this was a very emotional movie. Every aspect of it brought me memories. It showed true essence of living in Gujarat, living with a family, going to school with friends, having difficult time with teacher. The characters are so innocent and above all relatable. Thank you for making this movie, we need so many movies like this. Loved it.
