Green Means Go

I'm really confused about what I just watched. I have no idea why Jim Carrey agreed to be part of this, maybe he's just desperate for some income? The first episode was just full of disgusting adult humor courtly obnoxious bratty kids and need to be disciplined very strangely acting adults disgusting sexual acts and whole lot of stuff that wasn't funny in any shape way or form! Not entirely sure what kind of vibe they're going for the for the show but it's not whimsical it's not funny it seems kind of dark and gloomy with twisted disgusting humor it's not clever or funny or witty like the stuff Jim used to be in it's just freaking weird.

1... Mr. Carry is almost invisible in the way Robin Williams would have been (and would have been the only other Face for the rôle). 2... Frank Langella is still alive, active and brilliant.

If you haven't seen the show, and understand the above, then you know you'll have an appropriate experience watching it.

This episode definitely didn't "go" for me.

It feels very sedated and I'm not even sure what tone the show is going for. It's not funny enough to be a comedy at this stage, and it's not engaging enough with interesting characters to be a good drama.

So at the moment it's just a nothing. A pile of play-do that can hopefully be moulded into something worth watching.

There were a few great moments of dark comedy & I can only hope the show goes in that direction from now on.

The premise is interesting and I'm hoping subsequent episodes will have more excitement. This is a pretty lacklustre opener. Surely his descent into madness or grief or whatever will appeal more.

Disgusting.

Ok I just WATCHED the First Episode #1. Not to Often you start a Brand new SHOW and it has your full attention. But this SHOW had my Full attention in the first 10 MINUTES. I was Wondering what is JIM Carrey UP to Now. There is just something about his Character. He is NOT just ONE person he is like 2-or 3-differet people. STRANG, ODD, GOOFY, SMART, YOU NEVER NOW WHAT HE IS UP TO. IN ALOT OF HIS MOVIES AND STUFF. This SHOW was MADE for him. It is a ODD SHOW. Deals with differt things I don't want to Talk about. BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO RUIN IT FOR YOU. BUT JIM CARREY DOES THE JOB. AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE CAST. BUT IN MY OPION I THINK ITS MORE FOR 14 AND OLDER. BUT I AM JUST SPEAKING AS A FATHER. BUT KIDS NOW MORE THEN US ANYWAYS LOL. BUT IT IS A GREAT SHOW. VERY INTERESTED TO SEE WERE IT GOES.
