Brian and Stewie's A-plot is probably enough to make this my favourite episode of the show, but I thought Peter's B-plot was pretty uninteresting and didn't contribute very much to the episode. I would've liked some more time to focus on Brian and Stewie instead.
It was nice and interesting to see discussion about why Stewie is still holding onto some childish things despite being more intelligent than most people far older than him, and the last few scenes with Brian are definitely a highlight of the whole show.
But the premise of the show is a good one. Brian chews up Rupert. It's one of those simple and natural story ideas that somehow no one ever thought of before. And the emotions behind it were interesting. So the basic elements for a great show were there. I think all that was missing was the execution. Too bad. Could've been a classic.
I actually cried at the end. This may sound a bit stupid but I physically felt the ending. It really hit where it needed to hit me and I get that feeling very rarely nowadays.
❤ Very heartwarming ❤

- TriviaThis will be the 300th episode of Family Guy.
- GoofsWhen Brian and Stewie are physically fighting, Stewie gets pushed and slides down a cliff, ending 5 seconds later with a broken ankle. Brian says he'll get them back up the hill, but then they proceed to hike up for over an hour at least. Big difference from how far he fell to how far "back up" they went.
- Quotes
Joe Swanson: We gotta get him to wash that hand.
Cleveland Brown: Yeah. I'll text Lois, see if we all can come up with something.
Glenn Quagmire: Just reply to the last gif of the sloth putting on the headphones.
Joe Swanson: [laughs] I love that one. Is it weird we're in a group text with our friend's wife, but not our friend?
Glenn Quagmire: No, what's weird is that your bitmoji can walk.
Joe Swanson: I'm allowed to have legs in a phone world!
