Although aimed at a younger audience than the movies, the show manages to take the modern interpretation of Paddington, and combine it with elements of the original kids series to great effect.
It's the perfect introduction to Paddington for kids that might later see the movies, or for kids that have seen the movies and want to engage more with the characters.
The Paddington humour comes through, as does the heart that makes the characters special. So it's still a fun watch for adults, and a good show when you want to share the laughter with your child.
It's a bit silly to score it low because it's not the movies, especially given how uniquely brilliant the first two are - but for a kids show it is very far above the average.

The show feels like it's trying too hard to tick every diversity box rather than letting the story unfold naturally. Almost every racial, cultural, and social stereotype has been crammed in, and instead of adding depth, it comes across as forced and distracting. Representation works best when it's authentic and organic, but here it feels like the writers were more focused on making a statement than building believable characters. The result is a show that sacrifices realism and flow for the sake of inclusivity, which ultimately weakens the overall experience.
My 6 years old loves this show.
It's perfect for him and his age bracket.
If you love Paddington, then you can rest assured you will love this.

I enjoyed watching this with my little one as the animation is nice and quaint, it's also more realistic in terms of London life than the films too. The stories are sweet as well, innocent and fun.
Of course it HAS to be PC so there is one character (just one mind you!) from different ethnic groups and one child is disabled. So obvious but that's not an issue.
What makes the cartoon annoying is the main character: Paddington is 50 times more annoying than any other character, everything he does makes me want to turn the tv off. I know it's meant to be lighthearted and fun but he's just so....irritating!

He's a very rare sort of bear. This is The Adventures of Paddington, first impressions.
The Adventures of Paddington is the latest installment in the long running Paddington Bear franchise, drawing inspiration from the live-action movies specifically.
Now, even though, Paddington can be enjoyed by everyone of all ages, for some reason this show airs on Nick Jr, which I find strange because Paddington was never for preschoolers, and its scope and depth goes way beyond your typical modern Nick Jr show.
This show is very smart, has a deep cast of characters, and important lessons for kids to learn, meaning that for once, it's actually educational. Wow! I really do mean it when I say that.
Also, let's talk about the animation. I love the animation. It's CGI, but it resembles stop-motion, which is a perfect fit for the show's gentle, relaxing, wholesome tone.
Overall, with this show, Butterbean's Cafe, Blue's Clues and You, and Corn and Peg, and the revival season of Bubble Guppies being a major improvement, I'd say Nick Jr is on the track to success once more.
