This episode begins with the firing of Mother Sarah when Joseph and Isaac find out with certainty that Sarah did actually steal the VR headset from Isaac, sending her further on a downward spiral. We also find out that Mary II is pregnant, which is significant for the family and Isaac isn't too fond of the idea of it. The first 10 minutes or so of this episode were excellent all around.
Considering this episode was released on Christmas Day, I get the theme behind making this a "Christmas themed episode", and I respect that, but to me it just doesn't fit with the drama and dark theme of this series. This is a dramatic series, not a comedy series. It brings some comedic relief and lightens the tone, but once again, it just didn't feel real and it felt unnatural. Maybe if I was watching this episode in the middle of December I'd feel differently. Arachnid gifting Isaac a gun, Solomon acting the way he did around Isaac at the end, felt unnatural to me. I can always appreciate some comedic relief, but the last half hour of this episode simply didn't fit in to, once again, the dark and dramatic tone of the series. Rating: 7.6/10.
