It was alright but not something that i familiar and growing up with. Unlike the previous version of the same premise, this taken in almost realistic modern world, less cute material more like a grown kids material. I am not fan of the 2d animation style on this version for this particular permise as i used to watching this on 3d style. But its not bad. The characters were made more human like and stories that we can relate to. The songs were okay, not cute nor catchy but passable. Bit lay onto more towards action, fantasy and slice of life. More like a superhero vibe. The sound engineerings were weak. Great line of characters of different races and background. Recommended.
I think the idea of a Strawberry Shortcake story set in the big city is a great one, taking it out the magical world of a fantasy land and placing it in a city ends up being a fun and entertaining story that could appeal to young girls AND boys, especially those interested in cute, fun stories. The idea of her and her friends navigating the city leads to some exciting and humorous situations, and it also provides an opportunity to explore more contemporary themes in a fun and relatable way. This version takes the franchise to new heights with its emotional maturity and fresh takes on beloved characters. It tackles contemporary themes in an engaging and interesting way, making it an enjoyable and thought-provoking watch. The story is also able to breathe new life into the franchise, People can be too focused on the past and the nostalgia of old stuff, but Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City shows that the franchise is evolving in a natural and innovative way. The success of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic showed that there is a huge audience for updated versions of classic franchises with fresh ideas and themes, and this story is poised to capitalize on that trend. It's a true evolution of the series that deserves greater appreciation and recognition.
What is the recipe that makes this show a success? It has fun and charming characters, solid humor, good messages, and great music. It has everything that makes a show great.
If you ever watched Tom and Jerry or the roadrunner and the Wiley Coyote you can see there's a lot of classic cartoon antics and over expressions that are just pure cartoon! Unlike the duo dynamic of many old cartoons, this features a group of friends and even the villains can become friends. It's super upbeat without toxic positivity. My favorite change in this rendition of strawberry shortcake is the pets they take a more starring role and are cuter than ever. I love the overdramatic bold loud storytelling. A really solid short form cartoon for children. Kind of wish they might have a longer episode and go into deeper lore about berry works and the her lucky spoon.
I don't like it because it's changing all characters all of there quality and you guys didn't even try to add detail and you change the color of there skin, hair, and way they act also you turned grape in to a boy I feel it's ruin a lot of people's way of seeing it I just don't like the new it's not even keeping the 3d and the blueberry is way different from his kind heart I miss the strawberry short cake from the oldest to not the newest.example Matilda they change it. So you can keep your show and all but I will not be watching any of your episodes soon or ever I'm mad about this cause!!!!!!!
