When this show first started I was into in, thought it was ok for a UK show until Chris Fleming joined the team. Have seen him on American shows, far too over the top & as normal they all say (Derek Acorah etc another fake) "I know nothing about the history of this place"... Really lol. Could be a much better show if they had believable people in it....
I was enjoying this but the constant music and sounds over the trio talking and reviewing EVP's is really irritating. They'll capture tapping sounds whilst playing music and that music includes tapping sounds. Or They'll capture a voice and the soundtrack of music they're playing involves high pitch tones and whispering tones. Even with headphones on I can't hear what they've actually captured due to the constant music the editor has decided to add throughout pretty much the entirety of every episode. Why on earth is there scary music being played through each episode? To set the mood? It's really unnecessary and incredibly distracting making any audio evidence inaudible. Please stop the soundtrack and creepy music, it will then be worth watching.
Idk about anyone else but when I seen Chris Fleming as the resident psychic I was not impressed. It's a positive thing that he has gone and they brought Ian Lawman in to take his place. It is obvious Zak Bagans was the creator, as the dramatics and overacting is all there and in your face. As much as I laugh at some of the antics, I still enjoy watching the show but at times Jane irritates the hell out of me, her voice when she interacts/talks to "spirit" her voice goes childlike and the reactions of the team when something happens, the screaming, jumping around in some episodes are uncalled for. I guess people can have different reactions to "spirit" stepping forward, speaking through EVP's or banging on things but this crew get abit over the top with their reaction to some of what occurs in this series. Overall you can either hate or like it.
Started off as a good show however as the series progress, the ego of Chris Flemming started to overwhelm each episode.
Its new, its a little different, as this team look to confirm and fix things( if they are allowed,) or at least improve the hauntings on site for the residents when they have done the research. Its interesting although still only in the early stages, so I would think the team are still gelling together. No theatricals, no staging spooky noise crashing events. I think it has more realisim than most other paranormal series available on TV.(excluding Zak Bagins own series) Normal people, normal places. I hope it gets as it goes along. Enjoyed it so far.

- TriviaSandy Lakdar left the show to work on her own projects, due to irreconcilable differences with Zak Bagans. She has been replaced by Jayne Harris for series two.
- GoofsOn the way there, Ian Lawman (older guy with upwards curling handlebars mustache) invariably claims to "have read his bible" before going to the haunting mission, invokes the Jesus name, yet he dabbles in the occult, wears New Age beads bracelets, participates in seances where they ring witches' bells, dresses all in black, wears black nail polish and has permanent black face and hands tattoos.
