Frank quotes Lincoln as saying that sometimes you have to take a limb to save the body. The only body part he was saving was his own rear end. Absolutely terrible. They need to add a character who'll tell Frank when he's making a bad decision. In an upcoming episode, he promotes a higher ranking officer despite that officer lying about his military service.
I must have missed something. Isn't Nicky a Boyle since that is her father's last name? I do not understand why she would use Reagan. The lame storyline on workplace sexual harassment doesn't work. Nicky is irritating once again.
Just when you think you have had your full of the female Boyle's/ Regans using their last name to their advantage. Another absurd episode pops up. We know why character Erin went back to using Reagan ( and not even sure she changed it legally) but dippy daughter uses her middle name, Reagan, when its to her advantage, about every other episode, to get ahead since Boyle, won't get her what she doesn't deserve. In this episode, she actually uses her real name but waivers back and forth depending on how she will again gain what she has not earned and even Erin asked why she didn't use Reagan. Duh, Reagan is not her birth last name. Both females use , use,use to gain what they have not earned. Its bad enough the character Nikky adds nothing tomthe mix, comes across as arrogant, spoiled and a know-it- all but lends nothing to any story line . Even into 2022, she is shown as a character when she hasn't been on in months and lets leave it that way...Her character is boring, blah, and unnecessary . Privilege begets privilege . At least Sean now has spunk , moxey, and lends a typical kid growing up , to the mix. He will be the next generation to be a cop in the family and rightfully so .
This Blue Bloods story finds Donnie Wahlberg feeling the financial crush now being the sole support of his two sons. A Reagan quitting the NYPD is unthinkable but he's being tempted.
But the main plot line in this story is Lauren Patten a young rookie getting all chesty and arresting some man who does turn out to be an illegal alien on nothing more than her thinking he looks suspicious and out of place. A hostile crowd develops and its all caught on tape. It lands on Tom Selleck's desk and it's a decision that will earn criticism whatever way he goes.
Other than that young Sami Gayle goes out in the work force and gets her first experience with sexual harassment from boss Sean Kleier. This one leads to some frank talk with her mother Bridget Moynahan.
The last is the strongest of the three stories involved in this episode.

8 years of a great show, but this one (legacy) just stupid!
If they are trying to send a message, obviously they are doing it In the wrong country.... Get lost populists.

- GoofsThe officer had legal cause to stop the pedestrian, as jaywalking is a violation of the law. In her interview with the commissioner she correctly stated she had not violated department policy. As such, the disciplinary action taken against her was highly improper. The officer would also have a good case for being intimidated as she was interviewed without a representative present there and also by being taken to the jail cell to see the prisoner by the commissioner and a lieutenant. Frank's behind the scenes way of going about the termination was cowardly and out of character for him.

Erin Reagan: [to Nicky Reagan] OK. It's OK. Just remember that you... you are a piece of me too.
