    Mike Jr.? Uh....

    Love Mike but Mike Jr. Gets on my nerves. I'm sure he's a good guy, although clearly arrogant, but he's not nearly as cool as he thinks he is and I'm sick of his "my dad always thinks he's right" shtick. Give it up, Jr. You're dad is actually cool. You? Not so much with that attitude.

    Nothing like Holmes' earlier series.

    This one is almost painful to watch with the phoney melodrama and scripted batter. Even the music is cringeworthy at times. Junior (and his friends) just ain't got it. Holmes Makes it Right (with the best music too) was the end of Mike Holmes great run.

    Best of the rest

    I agree with others that this version of Holmes isn't quite up to his older shows. The manufactured drama and occasional fooling around to make lame comedic breaks is a waste of time. But Holmes is still the best of all the HGTV, DYI, etc. Shows about reno, flipping, home whatever. With Holmes and now son Holmes it's always been about the homeowner and what it takes to fix what's wrong. The level of education Holmes imparts is second only to "This Old House" (which is on a completely higher plane by itself).

    I enjoy the mundane

    Mike Holmes appeal is insight and technically superior processing and breakdown of problem solving skills. That doesn't necessarily translate to docudrama appeal, but for those people that are fascinated with the skills required to discover issues and then solve them; this is butter.

    I wish they'd stop trying to make this work with every audience, it won't. No body wants to watch family drama of mentally stable people.
