LOVE THE SHOW!!!
Gives interest to mysterious possibilities. Always enjoy relaxing and watching this show. Zachary Quinto is a perfect add to host the show!! Keep up the good work!
I don't like his voice
ZQ annoys me and I think that, if I'm to be honest, it's as a direct result of comparisons to Leonard Nimoy.
I hate to be one of those fans, and I knew that in Trek they'd have to replace Nimoy eventually, but Quinto is just not a good fit in my opinion. I've tried to keep an open mind about him, I thought maybe he'd grow on me, I mean the other new actors for the other characters were all okay, but Quinto just takes me out of the the thing every time he's in a scene.
That said, him now doing this reboot of In Search Of is just adding salt to the wound. I wish they'd have just made it a new series, then I imagine it would have been easier for me to be fairer to Quinto, to judge the series on its own merits. As it is though I can't help but to compare him to Nimoy again and, of course, as a result find him lacking.
The one place where this is most notable for me is with the narration. Nimoy's voice itself was a phenomenon. It had this sort of meditative quality to it. Quinto on the other hand just sounds like some dude they gave a microphone to. I just can't get over it.

I'll Take The Original Until This One Gets Revamped
I'm not sure this needs reviewing as I'm thinking soon it will likely disappear or if if it comes back be seriously rebooted. This kind of show based on the past series was to be both thought provoking as well as entertaining in equal measures. Right now I feel those two main ingredients are in short supply. The show needs more of an upbeat type search with much less repetition. Watching this is like being in a cave of gloom. I think science and mysteries should be more fun and rewarding.
Wasn't sure what to expect
I read the reviews of this show and thought it was going to be dull and badly put together. I never saw the original with a Leonard Nemoy which I'm glad because I can look at this fresh.
The show is interesting and Zachary Quinto is engaging as a curious host.
It's kind of nice to see a show like this again. It's a break from the news and social media.
It's worth a try.

Something Suspicious
If you listen to Zachary's voice, you will realize the truth. It sounds like a computer generated voice. It's not quite perfect, they haven't yet perfected the technology to make Zachary truly appear human. It's my belief that he is a robot controlled by J.J. Abrams.
It seems fitting that this new In Search Of series should be narrated by Spock, just like the original. The problem was they didn't have a new Spock, hence the reason for creating this cyborg.
Someday they may create actors that can actually appear human and show human emotions. For now, they are restricted to playing Vulcans and narrating shows where a robotic voice is actually a benefit.
