Episode 4: Be the Game Changer

ALL OR NOTHING: THE MICHIGAN WOLVERINES was an eight-episode special produced by Amazon and streamed on their services. The documentary follows Jim Harbaugh as he leads the Wolverines through the 2017 season where a championship is the goal.

Episode four kicks off with a rivalry game as Michigan finds themselves hosting Michigan State, which will turn out to be a big test on the year. It also goes as the first disappointment of the season and Coach Harbaugh has to try and fix the problems including the mental ones that some players might have. This here leads to a recovery game against Indiana.

We're now four episodes in and I think it's safe to say that the series has accomplished its goals and kept the viewer entertained to the point where they can't wait to get to the next week's episode. Once again the best aspect of this episode is just getting to see and hear everything that goes on behind-the-scenes like the meetings as well as the coach's box during the game.

I will say that the weakest aspect of this episode as well as the series is that you're not really connecting to the players as much as one might hope. Perhaps this is because they aren't really "stars" yet? It's not that you don't care about them or the personal stuff that is on display ehre but if I had to nitpick at something this would be it.

Devin Bush Jr. decided to go to Michigan to have "the opportunity to play for coaches that came from the NFL. They know what to look for and you get the inside tips on how to make yourself better. Practice against a pro-style offense that's going to be in the pros. Just getting the type of coaching that's very elite," as Bush told to Keith Niebuhr of "AuburnUndercover."
