This was a terrific episode. Brilliant acting from all. Brave of them to tackle domestic abuse and also showing that it is not just poor, ill-educated people that suffer from it. It happens in the highest strata of society. Absolutely excellent.
They finally showed what Maddie went through
her struggles and her abusive psycho husband.
IT WAS REALLY INTENSE and SATISFYING Definitely in top 10 best episodes!

This storyline was amazing and it is one of the best, if not THE best of the series. I wish I could get the feeling of watching it for the first time again.
I was filled with worry for Maddie and was kept on my toes the entire time and i loved it. The acting was great and I just really loved everything about it. Wish all the episodes was done this well ~

Every film I watch where a woman fights a man I feel like she's not giving it her all, she doesn't kick them in the face/scratch them for example. But in this I really felt like I was watching someone fight for their life (everything I was screaming at the TV she did!). Really brilliant episode. One of my faves so far for sure!

- TriviaThe actor portraying Maddie Kendall's ex-husband, Doug Kendall, is Brian Hallisay, who has been Jennifer Love Hewitt's actual husband since 2013.
- GoofsAthena says the detective could not use Chimney's phone after Buck took it and unlocked it. This is not true. Buck was acting as a citizen and not an agent of the police. Next, since Chimney was a victim not a defendant, there was no legal issue on searching his property- nothing found would be used against him.
Athena later got it right when she said she could use the phone as a concerned citizen.
- Quotes
Athena Grant: You know, Detective Marks didn't believe me. He said, 'no one could be that stupid'. I said 'you don't know Buck'.
