Nullity
A film made by amateurs, with no budget, intended only to distort reality and to cause and amplify Ted Kaczynski's suffering.
The lead actor seems relatively capable, although I'd never heard of him before this film.
It seems that the scriptwriters and director are trying to portray genius through the spirit of the current times, manifesting their own frustrations and not understanding in the slightest that the events did not happen in 2021 and have nothing to do with their preferences in terms of eco... whatever.

Uniquely insightful
Loved the veer away from the 'American cop show' approach, letting us uncomfortably live in Ted's environment. Sharlto Copeley is excellent, believable and disturbing. Arthouse style, assumes a knowledge, loved it.
Not much unabombing going on here
I've previously watched the excellent series Manhunt: Unabomber so felt compelled to see this through. It's factual but very very slow and light on detail about Ted K's targets and focusses far too much on his backwoodsman lifestyle imo.
Nevertheless a fascinating story about the largest manhunt in FBI history even though we get to see very little of it.

RUBBISH
Tries to protray the man as a pervert and a climate activist, absolute rubbish. Wouldn't waste my time on this propoganda. Just more historical distortion to fit the narrative of today. Try actually reading books before watching this awful representation.
Good but not enough
Being a true crime fan and having seen several documentaries about the unabomber I was looking forward to seeing this movie. After the opening credits, and given the initial approach I thought I would be in the presence of an intimate film. An "Author's Film". And this biography has everything to make that happen. But in my opinion the film falls into too many elements that have little to do with the nature of Ted himself as well as his odyssey. Even chronologically. I think the film would be more effective if it had an unknown actor. Although technically the film is excellent, highlighting the photography, although the soundtrack is also very adequate, the truth is that seeing the film as a whole, one gets the feeling that in reality, this could have been another film that "could have been" . Anyway good but not excellent.

- TriviaThere was no direct connection between Ted Kaczynski (the Unabomber) and Timothy McVeigh (the perpetrator of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing). However, they did share some superficial similarities, which initially led the public and even the FBI to consider possible links. Kaczynski and McVeigh never met and never communicated. Their motives, methods, and targets were very different: Unabomber (Kaczynski): acted alone, sent mail bombs to scientists, academics, and executives linked to technology and industry. His goal was to protest against technological progress. Tim McVeigh: a former soldier who carried out the Oklahoma City bombing (April 19, 1995) using a truck bomb to attack a federal government building. He was motivated by anti-government extremism and influenced by militia and far-right movements. Both cases happened around the same time (the Unabomber manifesto was published in 1995, the same year as the Oklahoma bombing). Both involved explosives and anti-establishment rhetoric. Because of this, the media and public briefly speculated about a larger network of domestic terrorists, but that theory was soon disproven. Kaczynski was an anarcho-primitivist, focused on philosophical and ecological arguments, he believed technology destroyed human freedom. McVeigh was a far-right political extremist, driven by anger toward the U.S. government and conspiracy theories (like those surrounding Waco and Ruby Ridge).
- GoofsThere is a moment in the 3rd act in which a voice-over suggests that the Unabomber might be envious of the media attention given to the Oklahoma City bombing, which happened in 1995. Later, the infamous O.J. Simpson Bronco chase is seen on a TV. The Bronco chase happened in 1994, but is presented as having happened after the OC bombing.
