Impactful
For the last spoon of mystery that is spelled out between the end credits, this is surely a worth watching short film, hard hitting, impactful.. a 15-17 min...
Brilliantly Written and Made
Sanjeev Vig's Rogan Josh is a compelling short film that deals with the importance of timing in life and also pays tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. This 17-minute-long film produced by Royal Stag Barrel Select, is of the suspense-drama genre featuring veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah, Shishir Sharma, Avantika Akerkar as well as young talents Bhuvan Arora, Shriswara and Khushboo Upadhyay. The story revolves around a birthday dinner where Vijay Kapoor, a renowned former chef, played by Naseeruddin Shah, cooks his iconic dish, Mutton Rogan Josh, for family and guests. When all the members present enjoy the well-cooked mutton, the conversation gradually ascends towards an unpleasant disagreement between Vijay and his son Varun, played by Bhuvan Arora, regarding an incident that is not revealed till the end. The filmmaker does a really good job of keeping the constant tension alive at the dinner table and when the big revelation comes at the end, the audience is bound to be left speechless. All the actors played their parts really well, with Shah and Arora portraying the father-son conflict aptly. When it comes to detailing, the makers made no mistakes with placing subtle easter eggs throughout the film, which contributes to the mystery that is solved at the end. Overall, it is a watch that will keep the audience engaged and guessing till the end.
Subtle
I remember watching it for the first time and immediately replaying it- simply to absorb the serenity of relevance. It haunts us not because it haunts us, it haunts us because we are haunted.
Superb Climax...
What an amazing writing.the end is truly unpredictable n at the same time give goosebumps.dialogues were well written and all the actors portrayed their character as they were living the character.hope that our crippy bollywood will take a step n make these type of fantabulous movies....
