So bad it's oddly mesmerizing... 🤔

This movie actually had some good acting from the lead lady Lark. She's got a bright future ahead of her! Besides that though, I feel like this was filmed in pieces and they hoped they could tie together a story, but it really ends up being a long mess.

The plot is pretty simple, bad guy...evil guy who they discover is a murderer (happens very early on), but even that part is confusing. There's just too many random scenes and things that happen that ruin the continuity, although you can basically understand what's going on. It's entertaining though for some odd reason. Like I was watching it while also laughing at some of the bad scenes. That's why it's a 5/10 and not 1. And the lark chick, she's gonna be a great actor! Already is.

    Absurd. Absolutely Absurd.

Before I begin a quick tip for anyone on death row reading this. Get in touch with Jeffrey Obrow the writer/director of this film. If he can convince ANYBODY to make this then he can get you out of prison and back on the streets, even if you pleaded GUILTY.

With a good cast consisting of Sam Tramell, Angus Macfadyen, Molly Ringwald and Paul Sorvino the reason why I give this junk 3 stars.

If you sit and watch the whole of this film. Kudos. If you watched half of it. Good effort. If you switched it off after 20/30 minutes. You have a hour of your life more than us idiots who watched it all.

Wash your car, mow your lawn, paint a ceiling, take a nap to refresh yourself. Do anything for 90 minutes but do not watch this film.

I lasted only 10 minutes before I had to say enough. This is pure amateur and cannot understand why Molly Ringwald would even consider being in this. First of all, who names their daughter Lark? That was the first indication this movie was going to be a stinker. Next, her mom (Ringwald) acted more like her sister. This somehow got made in 2025. It must have been a student film to be this bad.

'Pursued' - The Fear of Being Found, Perfected.

Pursued isn't just another thriller - it's a mirror reflecting the unease of our digital age, where every connection hides a shadow. Director Jeffrey Obrow crafts a taut, intelligent film that keeps tension simmering beneath the surface, pulling you in with quiet precision rather than cheap shocks.

The film's power lies in its atmosphere - sleek, modern, and charged with menace. Obrow builds suspense not through spectacle, but through silence and suggestion. The result is a thriller that feels eerily real, capturing the creeping anxiety of being watched in a world where privacy has become an illusion.

Madison Lawlor delivers a standout performance - layered, vulnerable, and utterly convincing. She draws you completely into her character's emotional journey without ever overplaying a moment. Molly Ringwald adds warmth and depth, grounding the story with empathy and quiet strength. Meanwhile, Angus Macfadyen turns calm restraint into pure menace, giving one of the most unsettling performances of the year - composed on the surface, yet charged with danger underneath.

Visually, Pursued is striking. Its minimalistic cinematography and tight framing turn ordinary spaces into psychological traps. The sound design is equally effective - the hum of a notification, the echo of a message, or the silence between replies - all become instruments of unease. Every technical choice feels deliberate and sharp.

What truly sets Pursued apart is its respect for the audience's intelligence. It doesn't spoon-feed or sensationalize; it invites you to engage, to question, to feel the tension build slowly until you realize you've been holding your breath.

By the time the credits roll, Pursued has done what few thrillers manage - it stays with you. Not through spectacle, but through the unsettling realization that danger now lives in the most familiar spaces.

Verdict: A sharp, sophisticated thriller that's as psychological as it is timely. Pursued grips you quietly, unsettles you deeply, and never lets go.

9/10 - Unmissable. One of 2025's most intelligent and atmospheric thrillers.

    Fall Thriller

We were looking for a scary Friday night film that wasn't your typical horror / gory nonsense. This fit the bill. It turned out to be the perfect Friday night, wine sipping scary thriller. Fun to see Molly on screen again. Overall we enjoyed the film & felt that the cast of characters did a great job as well. Always nice to see some new faces.
