Annoying people doing stupid things in a cold place
I guess there is nothing more I can say to describe yet another TV series.
I knew people are stupid and selfish. But I did not know that scientists were that stupid and that selfish. This idea of isolated humans and a murder mystery has been done before, right? The script is confusing, the dialogue is irritating, or in other words, typical TV fare.
Also, nothing in the show makes sense. One day the sky is blue, the next day,the sun is gone and the dimwits in the Polar Station are immersed in the deepest winter night walking outside with their faces exposed to the Antarctic freezing air. I would not be surprised if at the end of the series it is revealed that the killer is a rogue Polar Bear.
Amundsen and Scott must be turning in their graves.

What else do you need?!
When the communication to the outside world stops, Everything is suddenly falling apart for a small group of scientists of an International base station in Antarctica. There are six episodes each creating enough suspense and thrill to make you binge-watch the show. The BGM and Screenplay are the highlights of the show. It's one of the shows in which you keep guessing 'what will happen next?'. Though the last episode seems rushed, overall you won't be disappointed if you love mystery thrillers like Me! Highly Recommended! 😄
Brilliant, Keeps you guessing until the end.
One of the best mystery series I've seen this year so far. As I started watching, I thought it was just going to be the usual antarctic sci-fi horror rip off the The Thing. Only when I kept watching it, I realised this is a different beast all together. The way they kept revealing secrets slowly, peeling off the true mystery; it was just absolute brilliant. It made me keep guessing & second guessing myself.
I do urge the people here to keep watching till the end to find the real mystery, this show had so many layers to it. If you're one of those people who just watches the first episode & think I've seen it all before, trust me you're so wrong. This is one of those shows you just have to watch it till the end to get the twist. I'm not gonna give away the twist but I'll say this, it's only by the sixth episode you start to see the whole picture.
Verdict - Brilliant.

A cold thriller with twisted intrigue, good eye cinematography and a cast actually competent.
TV series (2020-) in 2 seasons and 12 episodes, it is located at the Polaris VI international station, in Antarctica. It is only known that every April 29 in Antarctica, the sun sets and does not rise again for the next six months. Winter has fallen on the South Pole, and most of the staff evacuate the Polaris VI Antarctic Research Station. A small team, known as the Winterers, will remain at the Polaris VI Antarctic Research Station to continue their innovative research, a crucial part in the fight against climate change. The small group stays on to continue their work led by renowned biologist Arthur Wilde (John Lynch). But when spring comes, summer commander Johan Berg (Alexander Willaume) returns to find the entire team are either dead or missing. The Head is in a strange way in a facility that has occurred at the South Pole. There is only one survivor, but he does not remember anything of what happened. A killer is on the loose and Annika (Laura Bach), Johan's wife, is missing. If he wants to find her alive, he will have to trust Maggie (Katharine O'Donnelly), the young doctor who is traumatized and apparently the sole survivor from the group. The Longest Night !. The Coldest Truth !.
Whodunit in which a serial killer executes gruesome murders and an investigation attempting to resolve. Through questions and flashbacks from the only survivors, during that period of winter time, the scientific group has ended up dying one less person and they will try to find out the truth behind this strange event. An intriguing and apocalyptic story that focuses on an investigation of the inexplicable death of a group of scientists. Thrilling, suspenseful series packing chills , tension, noisy action, violence , intriguing events , gruesome slaying and winds up into an astonishing finale. Exciting, slow-paced and stirring development , though predictable, when starring find that their colleagues are being murdered one by one ."The Head" was filmed on location in Iceland and Tenerife, Canary Islands, España. In the first episode the series pays tribute to John Carpenter when the remaining crew is watching The Thing (1982), and the plot The Head (2020) bears a certain resemblance to that film. There're a nice actors in the cast, such as: John Lynch as leader of the innovative research, a crucial part in the fight against climate change, Katharine O'Donnelly as Dr. Maggie Mitchell, Alexandre Willaume, Johan Berg , Richard Sammel as Erik, Tomohisa Yamashita as Aki, Hovik Keuchkerian as Charlie, Laura Bach as Dr. Annika, Alvaro Morte as Ramón, Enrique Arce as Óscar, Mónica López as Astrid, among others.
Compellingly written by David and Alex Pastor, they offer us an intelligent flick of the frozen Antarctic, tense, intimate and committed, they're expert on apocalyptic and Sci-fi films as ¨Carriers¨, their first American film with Chris Pine, Piper Perabo. David and Alex Pastor Brothers directed in 2013 ,¨The Last days¨ , with Quim Gutierrez , Jose Coronado and wrote Out of the Dark (2014) and Eternal (2015). This killer-chiller coproduced by Spain and Japan was professionally directed by Jorge Dorado. He's a good craftsman who has shot decent films and TV series, such as: Objetos (Lost and found) , Mindscape, Gigantes, El Ministerio del Tiempo, Feria: La luz más oscura, El embarcadero (The Pier), among others. Rating: 7/10. Decent series that will aapeal to mystery thriller fans.

Enjoyable Mystery
A reworking of the classic mystery theme of an isolated trapped group of multinational people, most of whom have a shared past, begin to be killed off one by one. Add the 6 month polar night, the deadly temperatures, polar T-3 syndrome ( a real behavioral affliction of polar explorers), interpersonal issues, loss of communication, planetary ecological implications, and attempting to reconstruct events from the traumatized memory(?) of a person who might be a victim or a perpetrator makes for an interesting mystery. Yes there are physical events that require a suspension of disbelief and some questionable decisions made by various people. You might at first think that it is just another formulaic plot that you have seen before but it is well worth watching to the satisfying conclusion.

- TriviaThe song played over the end credits is by Tomohisa Yamashita who plays Aki.
- GoofsThe helicopter used by the rescue team is much bigger inside than when filmed from outside. Clearly two different helicopter types.
