    One of the best episodes

This episode does so much right: it's very funny, there's a very creative and effective monster, and a strong plot. The Lena/Webby dynamic and Lena's struggle is really working. Plus, Catherine Tate is really coming into her own as Magica de Spell.

    Lena's a great character

This episode features the character Lena who was previously revealed to be the niece of Magica De Spell, one of the main villains from the 1987 series. I'm not quite sure if I'm right, but I think she exists as Lena's shadow. She needs the number one dime to take physical form. It helps that we get a very creative idea. As the title implies, there's a shark in Scrooge's money bin. That is, a shark that's itself made of gold coins that eats everyone!

We get this great bit at the end where the gold shark grows legs. It even brings up the fact that Scrooge's previous antics have caused destruction in Duckberg. Of course, even realistically speaking, he'd be able to pay for all damage. As it has Lena, the episode often focuses on Webby. She's easily becoming my favorite character. She's just much better than the 1987 version. ****

    One of the worst episodes.

Besides the fact, that this is yet another Jaws copy (how many more of those does pop culture need ??) which also amplifies unreasonable fear of sharks again, it also features plenty character decisions that are unmotivated and just seemingly happen to get the "plot going". (ex: how does the Quack Pack get into the highly secured money bin just like that for a swim? Why does Launchpad just enters the room screaming Dewey is missing without explanation?).

Worst, this episodes shows the highly unpopular character of "Lena". This episodes is really one of the worst episodes of the season, maybe only second to the one where "Lena" was introduced.

    • Trivia
According to Webby's chart, Scrooge's enemies are Flintheart Glomgold, Ma Beagle, and what looks like Winnie the Pooh dressed as Santa Claus.
    • Goofs
Despite Dewey being the first to be eaten by Scrooge's gold shark, shortly after Launchpad steals Donald's boat, Dewey (as noticeable from his blue shirt) is visible on the boat. This is clearly an animation goof as they meant to draw Louie instead.
